Sk and images

Greetings, I fully support your effort to prevent User:Danny B. from non-consensually removing all images from the Slovak Wiktionary. Since that user claims there are no arguments supporting inclusion of images, I put together the following:

Výše čteme že argumenty pro vkládání obrázků do lingvistického slovníku nepadly. Na tom celkem nezáleží pač argumenty jsou zřejmé. Definice ve slovnících odpovídají na otázku "co je to" či "co to znamená" a obrázky jsou velmi dobrá odpověď na tuto otázku. Obrázky jsou ve slovnících zbytné, ale dodávají přidanou hodnotu. Obrázky mají angloamerické slovníky včetně Webster 1913 a Century 1911; obrázky má Duden online; existují obrázkové slovníky, což jsou jazykové slovníky: mapují slova na obrázky čímž pomáhají ustavit význam slov. V angloamerických tištěných slovnících byly obrázky přítomné ale omezené, protože zabíraly místo na papíře; i z tohoto důvodu nechal Philip Babcock Gove obrázky v Webster's Third výrazně omezit aby se mu tam vešlo více hesel. Wikislovníky omezením papíru netrpí. Možné tvrzení že tyto angloamerické slovníky a Duden jsou encyklopedické slovníky a ne jazykové odmítám coby zjevně nepravdivé. Kdo se chce úzkoprse řídit omezenou slovníkovou tradicí jistých zemiček ve střední Evropě, zemiček jež jsou málem rády že vůbec mají definiční slovník, vzdor zjevným výhodám obrázků, má samozřejmě možnost; Komenského Orbis pictus tyto lidi nepřesvědčil. As you know, I am blocked in sk wikt from even posting to my talk page; the local totalitarians Danny B., Zdenekk2, and Jan Dudík are so afraid of me that they have to prevent my ability to post anything anywhere at all costs.

They are both supported. "nouns" reflects the category name more directly. —CodeCat 23:07, 30 December 2016 (UTC)

Capitals

I noticed that gawurragiil has a small letter but Bulawaa has a capital letter. Is this a mistake? —CodeCat 23:07, 30 December 2016 (UTC) I found it in my saurce as it is with capital letter. It may be typo in Ma Gamilaraay. I dont see reason why? I dont mind if you change it. Cheers for help.Bluepossum (talk)

Is the definition correct? Does the term refer only to the chicks that are striped, to all chicks because all emu chicks are striped, or to all striped emus, or to all emus? Correct the entry if I've made any undesirable changes. DCDuring TALK 14:11, 1 February 2017 (UTC)

• Hi I have found entry at Ma Gamilaraay "emu chick (striped) Possibly based on bagan stripe, the name therefore means stripped." Emu chicks are active as soon as they hatch. Their body is covered with stripes of brown and creamy-colored soft feathers that provide camouflage. After three months, their plumage starts looking like feathers of adult animals. Emu is one of the most important birds and it does have many expressions We dont have in English.Bluepossum (talk) 08:44, 3 February 2017 (UTC)
