kinderwhore (countable and uncountable, plural kinderwhores)

  1. (fashion, uncountable) A feminine fashion aesthetic that emerged with grunge rock in the early 1990s, contrasting the childlike quality of baby-doll dresses, Peter Pan collars, etc. with heavy (and possibly smudged) make-up characteristic of adult decadence.

    1. (possibly offensive, countable) A follower of this style.
      • 2002, Malcolm Barnard, Fashion as Communication:
In much the same way as that in which Punk disrupted conventional notions of female beauty the 'kinderwhore' disrupts traditional or ideological versions []
