- (sociolinguistics) A language used for the day-to-day functioning of government – official forms, intra-government communication.
- Misspelling of nationalist.
Usage notes
[edit]Like nationism, nationist is a technical term used in sociolinguistics, and is contrasted with nationalist. However, nationist may also occur as a misspelling of the far more common nationalist.
