Hedera helix (English Ivy) is a species of plants in the family Araliaceae. They are climbers. They are native to Portugal, Cyprus, Morocco, Greece, Romania, Belarus, Turkey, France, Denmark, Israel, Tunisia, Latvia, The Netherlands, Algeria, Sweden, Armenia, Yugoslavia, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Lithuania, Norway, Moldova, Poland, Spain, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Ireland, Hungary, United Kingdom, Libya, Slovakia, Ukraine, Russia, Bulgaria, Italy, Lebanon, Albania, and Syria. They have drupes. Flowers are visited by Apiloscatopse picea, Smudge-veined Fen Fly, Golden hoverfly, and Woolly-tailed Marsh Fly. Individuals can grow to 5 feet.
