MSC is convening against a backdrop of intensifying competition in emerging technologies, the realignment and divergence of security interests among major geopolitical blocs, and a reshaping of the global technological and security landscape. To address these challenges, the Special Competitiveness Studies Project (SCSP) and Foreign Policy will host a closed-door, interactive simulation that will bring together policymakers, military and civil society leaders, and subject-matter experts to game-out how adversaries and allies could leverage emerging technologies to strengthen their defense postures. This immersive event will explore the development and integration of technology and policy standards for AI-related infrastructure, the governance of frontier AI models for military use, and the safeguards required amid an accelerating AI arms race. This simulation is an official side event of MSC.
