The Warner Archive Collection is a subdivision of Warner Brothers, mainly dealing with the release of classic films and TV on DVD and Blu-ray. It was spun off from Warners Home Entertainment in 2009, using a manufacturing-on-demand model that has allowed the label to issue a wide number of releases with little mainstream appeal.

Talking of which, they were able to negotiate the curious legal status of the Challenge of the GoBots cartoon series, which had been out of print since around 1987 with considerable questions as to who actually owned the rights to the series, while their business model fitted the niche of a small fandom. This seemed to be sorted out, with text on the DVDs referring to them as "Hasbro's GoBots". For those who liked the cartoon and had only been able to view it on aging VHS releases or off-air recordings the release of the entire series on DVD across three releases from 2011 to 2015, featuring crisp high-quality remastering from archive elements, has been a major delight.
