The GES journal has been ranked as Q1 in the "White list" of peer-reviewed scientific journals
The "white list" is a compilation of scientific journals to be used for evaluating the performance of scientific organizations based on formal criteria. This list includes publications that have been indexed in Web of Science, Scopus, or the Russian Science Citation Index by the middle of the year. It includes 30040 Russian and international scientific journals. The list is published on the special information site of the RCSI.

NEW SPECIAL ISSUE "URBAN DUST: ENVIRONMENTAL RISK AND HEALTH IMPACT" IS ANNOUNCED"
We are pleased to announce new Special Issue of the GES journal: "Urban dust: environmental risk and health impact"
The purpose of this special issue is to highlight methodological issues in assessing the environmental risk and health impact associated with urban dust exposure. Field, experimental and modeling studies related to the analysis of urban dust in various environments, identification of urban dust sources, impact on air quality and public health, or any review study on these topics are welcome.

Permafrost is an important component of the cryosphere. This multidisciplinary Special Issue of GES journal is focused on research and education activities that address changes facing permafrost regions. The Issue welcomes papers on history and methods of permafrost research, development of new information and data resources, observations and modeling studies, environmental and socioeconomic dimensions of the permafrost regions.
