Mr. Hira Lal Gope has completed his B.Sc. (Hon’s) and MS Engineering (Thesis) in the Computer Science and Engineering department from University of Chittagong, Chittagong, Bangladesh in 2012 and 2017 respectively. After completing graduation he did serve in different software companies. He started his carrier in the teaching and research profession as a Lecturer in Sylhet Agricultural University on 01 January 2013. He has authored and co-authored 09 journals in the area of semantic knowledge, natural language processing, image processing, computer vision, and pattern recognition. He has also attended an international conference on “Medical Document Classification from OHSUMED Dataset”. Mr. Gope has been promoted as an Assistant Professor in 2016. Accurate gene regulatory network inference from time-series data is a challenging problem in comp... more Accurate gene regulatory network inference from time-series data is a challenging problem in computational biology. Recently, various methods have been developed to infer a gene regulatory network from time series data. Most of which are not scalable, because they limited the regulatory genes by 1 to 3. To resolve the problem, we propose an efficient statistical method called chi-square test for inferring gene regulatory network. A significant threshold p-value is considered to test the independence between target gene and regulatory gene in the chi-square test. Moreover, the p-value is corrected by Bonferroni Step-down (Holm) to reduce the false positives rate. A Boolean network is employed to model gene regulatory network because it is simple to implement, and it can capture network dynamics. To evaluate the performance of our method, we conducted an extensive simulation based on artificial datasets and compare the performance of our propose method with Relevance network and Pearson correlation methods, the experimental result shows that the proposed method significantly outperforms them with respect to structural accuracies. We further tested our method in two biological networks: SOS response of E.coli regulatory network and C.elegans cell cycle network. The simulation results demonstrated that our proposed method achieves better structural performance than relevance network and Pearson correlation methods also in the real dataset.

An Argon Ion Laser operating at 514 nm was used as the excitation source to generate the second harmonic scattered light. The results show that Organic Monomer have large β values and found that the β value is 7.05 10 -30 esu for 2,5Dimethyleaniline (DMA). The calculated results indicated DMA has a potential for SHG device applications, owing to its remarkable β value.

As the grade of green coffee beans largely depends on total number of defective beans in a given ... more As the grade of green coffee beans largely depends on total number of defective beans in a given quantity of sample beans, removing defective beans is important for ensuring their quality and market price. On the other hand, the prevalent sorting method, i.e., manual handpicking, can be affected by human condition and is time-consuming. Studies have been proposed to classify defective fruits, vegetables, and beans by exploiting image processing and machine learning techniques so far. However, general single-label classification algorithms are not suitable for sorting coffee beans because some of them have multiple properties, e.g., broken and fade. In this study, we propose a deep neural network model with modifications to the EfficientNet-B1 by putting branches, which correspond to each defect after feature extraction layers, to classify coffee beans with multi-label. The proposed multi-branch EfficientNet-B1 model significantly improved overall performance, with an f1-score of 0.8229, compared to single EfficientNet-B1 model.

Software clustering is an efficient technique to deal with such kind of problems that arise from the sheer size and complexity of large software systems. Day by day the size and complexity of industrial software systems are rapidly increasing. So, it will be a challenging task for managing software systems. Software clustering can be very helpful to understand the larger software system, decompose them into smaller and easy to maintenance. In this paper, we want to give research direction in the area of software clustering in order to develop efficient clustering techniques for software engineering.Besides, we want to describe the most recent clustering techniques and their strength as well as weakness. In addition, we propose genetic algorithm based software modularizationclustering method. The result section demonstrated that proposed method can effectively produce good module structure and it outperforms the state of the art methods.

We conducted experiments to evaluate the effects of different representations by measuring the change in classification performance with MEDLINE documents from the OHSUMED dataset. This research suggest a hierarchical classification method employing the hierarchical concept structure for classifying biomedical text abstracts by using Hidden Markov Model method (HMM). Present study demonstrates how a large number of biomedical articles are divided into quite a few subgroups in a hierarchy describing ontogeny.

We detect the head region and based on this head region we can detect people from crowd. Individual object detection has been improved significantly in recent times but the crowd detection and tracking contains some challenges. Crowd analysis is a highly focused area for law enforcement, urban engineering and traffic management.There are a lot of incident occurred in crowd area during some fabulous event. In this research low resolution and verities of image orientation is a key factor as well as overlapping person images in crowd misguided the system. An enhanced system of interest point detection based on gradient orientation information as well as improved feature extraction HOG is used for identifying the human head or face from crowd. We have analyzed different types of images in different varieties and found accuracy 88-90%. In a number of applications, such as document analysis and some industrial machine vision tasks, binary images can be used as the input to algorithms that perform useful tasks. These algorithms can handle tasks ranging from very simple counting tasks to much more complex recognition, localization, and inspection tasks. Thus by studying binary image analysis before going on to gray-tone and color images, one can gain insight into the entire image analysis process.

Chowmohani Rubber Dam was accountable for socioeconomic enhancement as well as improvement of agr... more Chowmohani Rubber Dam was accountable for socioeconomic enhancement as well as improvement of agriculture farming that was constructed over the Sonai River in Habiganj district of Bangladesh. A survey research was conducted to investigate the performance of the rubber dam on the basis of agricultural and environmental aspects in order to improve the socioeconomic status of rural life. Both primary and secondary data were collected by conducting focus group discussions (FGD) with the 100 stakeholders by using a questionnaire and people of relevant local organizations of the dam area. The parameter such as Annual income, Employment opportunity, Agricultural production, Fish production, Command area Efficiency (CAE), Management Performance Ratio (MPR), and Benefit-Cost Ratio (BCR) were calculated. The result was demonstrated that about 88% increased annual income, 60% Employment opportunity, 45% agricultural production, 92% fish production increased that of earlier situation. However, it is observed from the study that the CAE of scheme-1 and scheme-2 of the project is 28.88% and 26.74% respectively, MPR is 0.018 and 0.021 and BCR is 1.36 and 1.53 in that order indicating substandard. Thereupon, the rubber dam project was economically preferable in respect of socioeconomic condition and farmer profitability of that area.

According to various statistics, the number of smartphone users in 2017 was 2.32 billion around the world. In 2020, it will exceed 2.87 billion. Therefore, if organizations and industries are not investing in mobile applications to increase productivity and accessibility among their workforce, they are going to fall behind. Bangladesh government has also taken initiatives to implement the vision 2021 to build a digital Bangladesh. As part of this initiative, the ICT division of Bangladesh government has funded the development of android mobile applications for all government organizations. These applications provide easier access to information and many more facilities. The ultimate goal of this app is to facilitate the user with the process of searching essential information in an instant rather than flipping the pages of the existing paper-based diary of Sylhet Agricultural University (SAU) in Bangladesh with additional functionalities. The paper illustrates the features, development method, result, and uses of our android application named "SAU app". There was no android application for SAU earlier. To embrace the digital world and to precede one step ahead of many others, we have come up with our online mobile application which can solve their problem during checking staffs' information of SAU in a moment. Every person can also easily operate the system in home and aboard.

According to various statistics, the number of smartphone users in 2017 was 2.32 billion around the world. In 2020, it will exceed 2.87 billion. Therefore, if organizations and industries are not investing in mobile applications to increase productivity and accessibility among their workforce, they are going to fall behind. Bangladesh government has also taken initiatives to implement the vision 2021 to build a digital Bangladesh. As part of this initiative, the ICT division of Bangladesh government has funded the development of android mobile applications for all government organizations. These applications provide easier access to information and many more facilities. The ultimate goal of this app is to facilitate the user with the process of searching essential information in an instant rather than flipping the pages of the existing paper-based diary of Sylhet Agricultural University (SAU) in Bangladesh with additional functionalities. The paper illustrates the features, development method, result, and uses of our android application named "SAU app". There was no android application for SAU earlier. To embrace the digital world and to precede one step ahead of many others, we have come up with our online mobile application which can solve their problem during checking staffs' information of SAU in a moment. Every person can also easily operate the system in home and aboard.
Fire incidence is one of the major disasters of human society. This paper proposes a still image-... more Fire incidence is one of the major disasters of human society. This paper proposes a still image-based fire detection system. It has many advantages like lower cost, faster response, and large coverage. The existing methods are not able to detect fire region adequately. The proposed method overcome and addresses the issue. A binary contour image of flame that is capable of classifying fire or no fire in image for fire detection is proposed in this study. The color of fire area can range from red yellow to almost white. So, here it is challenges the detected area is actually fire or no fire. Our propose method consists of five parts. Firstly, the digital image is taken from dataset and the digital image is sampled and mapped as a grid of dots or picture elements. We convert image to separate RGB Color range Matrix. We define some rules to select yellow color range of the image later on converted the image to binary range. Finally, binary contour image of flame information that detect the fire. We have analyzed different types of fire images in different varieties and found accuracy 85-90%.
