Round 1
Basketball is a data-driven sport where insights into team
performance, player contributions, and evolving game trends
enhance both analysis and fan engagement. With rich NBA data
available across multiple seasons, effective visualization is
crucial to transform raw statistics into meaningful stories.
In this challenge, participants will analyze a comprehensive NBA
dataset spanning from the 2004 season to the latest update,
covering games, players, teams, and league standings. The
dataset includes game-level outcomes, player-wise performance
statistics, team metadata, and conference-wise rankings.
Participants are required to design an interactive and visually
engaging dashboard that allows users to intuitively explore and
compare NBA insights across seasons and teams.
Key Focus Areas
Season-wise and team-wise scoring trends
Player performance and efficiency analysis
Team consistency and performance patterns
Home vs Away performance comparison
Eastern vs Western Conference dynamics
The final dashboard should enable fans, analysts, and basketball
enthusiasts to explore data seamlessly and understand how the
NBA has evolved over time through clear storytelling and
impactful visualizations.
