    Moeslim Abdurrahman is one of the names of many Muslim intellectuals in Indonesia. Engaging in the social field of humanity influenced him to spark a new Islamic understanding that was different from his earlier thought. By using the reseacrh library method in the form of collecting the works of Moeslim Abdurrahman as the primary data, this article will explain the renewal of Islamic thought by Moeslim Abdurrahman in the form of transformative theology. The study of figures in this article aims to introduce and revitalize almost forgotten Islamic thought. Islam as a foundation of the life of Muslims should not only put forward the hablum min of Allah and forget his obligation to hablum min an-nas. Both must be satisfied equally. Moeslim says that for what a devotee worships' if his neighbors still feel so much hunger. This has become anxiety for Moeslim when he sees the reality that Muslims are now being colonized by the modernization that led to the flowering of Western capitalism which has resulted in the increasing prevalence of poverty and ignorance in Indonesia. Through his transformative theology, Moeslim wants a renewal in economics and education. In this case the empowerment of the community through the procurement of employment and the embodiment of a new model pesantren that gave birth to Muslim thinkers based on liberation of oppression became the main objective of MoeslimAbdurrahman's transformative theology.

    The treasure of interpretation in Indonesia from generation to generation has developed and is very relevant for further study. Studies of interpretation that develop will have a positive impact on the progress of Indonesian culture as well. So many interpretations that speak regionally are evenly distributed in Indonesia, one of them is the book of the interpretation of al-Iklil by KH Misbah Musthofa. This interpretation of 30 juz uses Javanese and is written using Pegon script. Pegon script is a script that has only been known since the colonial era which was used by Indonesians to give news to others so that it could not be read by the invaders. This then developed into the pattern of writing the Nusantara interpretation books, especially in the Java region. By using a historical approach and qualitative methods with descriptive analysis, this paper examines in detail the cultural patterns contained in the interpretation of Al-Iklil. Interpretations that use Pegon script are interpretations that need to be studied in depth so that Javanese culture is not eroded by an increasingly developing age. Cultural explanation through writing is one of the approaches used by KH Misbah to maintain cultural preservation as well as Javanese language. This article is important in order that Indonesia's cultural wealth still has existence in an increasingly developing era. Keyword: Interpretation, Pegon Script, culture.
