The paper employing the augmented mean group estimator and Dumitrescu–Hurlin non-causality test for the economy of BRICS countries from 1990 to 2021 revealed robust evidence that increasing investments in renewable energy research and development (RandD) significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions in BRICS nations. A 1% increase in per capita renewable energy RandD spending is associated with a 2.24% decrease in emissions. Likewise, a 1% rise in overall energy technology RandD budgets corresponds to a 3.15% emissions reduction. These findings highlight the considerable potential of innovation-focused policies to promote sustainability alongside continued economic growth. It suggests the need for more research to devise effective policies that use RandD to reduce emissions without compromising larger development objectives.

In this study, we have employed panel regression analysis and the generalized two-step moment method (GMM) for the 25 EU countries from 2000 to 2021 to explore the relationship between green financing and the portfolio structure of green climate funds. According to the findings of this research, green financing significantly impacts quality economic growth. The GCFs enhance the capacity to channel public and private funding while contributing to de-risking more conventional forms of funding, increasing climate financing, and boosting the GCFs. In addition, the study concluded that Global Climate Support might fund nonbankable components of more significant “almost bankable projects” by analyzing the portfolio’s policies and methods.

This study analyzes data from 653 Chinese manufacturing companies and examines the relationship between corporate social responsibility and environmental performance. The suggested hypotheses have been investigated by employing structural equation modeling. The results showed that there is no direct association between corporate social responsibility and the environmental performance of manufacturing firms. In comparison, it is linked to green transformational leadership and green innovation that improves environmental performance. Furthermore, the results showed that the link between corporate social responsibility and environmental performance is mediated by green innovation and green transformational leadership. The study's results provide managers and ...

Furthermore, the overall costs of running a mining operation are substantially lower in Georgia. as Georgia takes place as the third biggest mining country in the world. The goal of this paper is to fill a deficiency in the existing literature that examines the present level of cryptocurrency acceptance, and adoption-influencing factors, offering an in-depth interpretation of these aspects and outlining certain problems associated with cryptocurrency adoption in Georgia. This study employs a quantitative approach, a total of 175 people did take part in the poll (out of 200 questionnaire respondents). The survey was held in a hybrid manner, with the questionnaire being distributed in April and May 2022 in various cryptocurrency-selling locations throughout Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. A structural equation model was applied in the paper (SEM). The findings of the study confirm that the measurement items and constructs in the proposed model are reliable and valid. The result of the study found that there is a positive relationship between future reward, innovativeness, knowledge, and cryptocurrency adoption. Furthermore, it was found that innovativeness is significant as a mediator between future rewards and cryptocurrency adoption.

Poor people are stereotyped as collecting the firewood and using the unclean energy sources to meet their residential energy needs. As a result, respondents in the provinces with the highest rates of energy poverty set a high priority on this research. Structured interviews were used to conduct the research in rural parts of Punjab and Sindh provinces. Due to the apparent country’s large population and rapid industrialization, conventional energy sources cannot meet the country’s present energy needs. Results revealed that energy poverty in rural areas had exposed the residents to security problems such as health dangers, fire accidents, time poverty, financial poverty, illiteracy, and other issues at various levels of severity. As a result, alternative energy sources must be explored. This research aims to determine the best renewable energy choice for Pakistan’s rural areas. In terms of pricing, li...

As e-government emerges, this knowledge leads to improved frameworks for delivering e-services. This study examined the factors influencing Pakistanis to adopt e-government services, particularly those living abroad. Online surveys (structured questionnaires) were administered primarily among Pakistani citizens, including those residing in China and Turkey, via social media networking techniques. Purposive convenience sampling was used, 599 people were surveyed, and the results were considered complete enough to analyze. Structured equation modeling (SEM) and Amos were used to interpret quantitative research results. Results show that values are strongly correlated with expectations about others’ efforts. An invaluable feature of e-government services is their simplicity of use. It may be pos...

The paper applies Rodrigue's modified Gravity model and OLS regression analysis based on pooled cross sectional time-series to analyze tourist arrivals to Georgia from 33 countries. Log-linear equation indicates that the tourist arrivals to Georgia is highly correlated with GDP per capita ,Population and CPI of origin countries on the other hand negative relationship with such variables as Distance, Exchange rate, and Consumer Price Index. The paper estimates that there is positive relationship between tourist arrivals to Georgia and countries which had common history with Georgia.

Since independence the social protection system in South Caucasus region have undergone several stages of transformation. Although these transformations were not always implemented in a coordinated manner and led to desired outcomes; however, they have created significant preconditions for developing the existing system. In general, the current social protection system is rather complex. It comprises multiple levels of governance, different actors, and several sub-components. All the public administration levels, starting from local to national, have some social protection functions, although the distribution of functions among them is fluctuating and not always clear. The main four sub-components of the system (social security, social insurance, social assistance, and social services) are under central government regulation. Along with state interventions, the non-governmental sector also has a substantial share in social services provision and funding. Based on the conducted analysis it was found that Social Protection System in South Caucasus countries fails to perform its functions effectively and, at best, only maintains the status quo or physically rescues vulnerable populations from year to year. Despite of the significant reforms conducted, in social protection system, the attention must be paid to ensuring an adequate level of payments, since often social benefits are insufficient to enable people to get out of poverty and insecurity in the South Caucasus region. For the situation to change, more complex policies need to be developed, with a closer link between economic and social policies.
