Sir Moses Haim Montefiore, 1st Baronet, FRS (24 Oktober 1784 – 28 Juli 1885) adalah seorang pakar keuangan, dermawan, aktivis, filantropis dan Sheriff London asal Inggris. Lahir dari sebuah keluarga Yahudi Italia, ia menyumbangkan sebagian besar uangnya untuk mempromosikan industri, bisnis, pengembangan ekonomi, pendidikan dan kesehatan terhadap komunitas Yahudi di Syam, termasuk pendirian Mishkenot Sha'ananim pada 1860, pemukiman pertama Yishuv Baru. Sebagai Presiden Badan Deputi Yahudi Britania, koreskondensinya dengan konsul Inggris di Damaskus Charles Henry Churchill pada 1841–42 dipandang sebagai bagian utama dari pengembangan Proto-Zionisme.[1][2]
