The pedagogical approach of Project-based Learning (PBL) involves active student learning through problem-solving and hands-on activities. Unlike traditional teaching methods, teachers act as guides for the self-learning process of the students rather than knowledge transmitters. Even with the advantages of this innovative pedagogical approach, PBL implementation in programmes curriculum is not yet common sense in the context of Brazilian bachelor programmes. One reason for the PBL curriculum's non-implementation in Brazilian bachelor programs is the lack of knowledge required of the academic stakeholders for the first implementation steps. The model consists of the systematic steps necessary for knowledge development related to the PBL curriculum implementation. Results obtained from evidence and survey feedback applied to teachers and students involved in the process indicate that curriculum changes are satisfactory for the first moment of the PBL curriculum implementation

In a project-based learning process the students organise themselves into teams, supported by teacher guidance and have the opportunity of work collaboratively to aim learning goals. Since late 2015 PBL has been adopted as an innovative method for an entrepreneurship classroom in a management undergraduate course in Rio de Janeiro state, Brazil. PBL methodology has been adopted as an experimental implementation of learning models from a Finnish-Brazilian training program experienced in 2014-2015. The Teacher Education Programme “VET Teachers for The Future” (30 ECTS) training program has been happening in Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK), Finland. The process of the learning paradigm changes from more traditional, teacher-centred approach to student-centred which was demanded in the Brazilian learning context. The reported experiment has requir...

The main goal of this study is to present a model to trigger the discussion about Lean Education under a pedagogical and managerial point of view, not only within the Brazilian network of Institutes of Applied Science, but also in other similar public educational systems. The study also presents a review of Lean and Lean Education concepts, as well as an overview of pedagogical models used at the Brazilian Institutes of Applied Science.
