The research uses employee internal motivation as a proxy for industrial harmony. A survey was administered to 206 working professionals whose organizations were engaged in CSR activities. The research hypothesis was tested using regression and correlation analysis. The findings indicate a positive relationship between CSR and employee internal motivation. The results have immense potential to be utilized by HR practitioners and tailor their social initiatives, particularly local community relations to ensure cordial employee relations.

This becomes the core of all aspects of KM—knowledge creation, sharing, transformation, and retention—in the organization. Development of an effective KM strategy via adopting the appreciative inquiry approach can decide on the future of the robustness of organizations, organizational transformation, and eventually enhances the scope of competitive advantage. This chapter will incorporate the tenets of KM and ancillary practices, theory of organizations, though the lens of appreciative inquiry approach and the way an organization's structural transformation can be influenced by strategic management of knowledge within the organization. It will concurrently demonstrate the index of strategic influence within the overall organizational network.

The same altogether was captured by the academic lens of Professor Eric Tsang. Through the interview, Prof Tsang helped in tracing the progressive path of his academic journey, understanding his ideas and perspectives from the space of OL and LO as well as his contributions related to those. Overall, this study aims to add to the ongoing knowledge-intensive process of redefining the ways in which organizations ‘learn’. Design/methodology/approach A conversation with the distinguished academician, Professor Deborah Blackman. Findings How OL has pivoted around “shared mental models” that will enable in collective evidence-based decision-making across the organizational hierarchy. Originality/value The interactive session with Professor Deborah Blackman captured her ideas and critique pertaining to the theme of OL and the crucial aspect of “shared mental models” which promote “learning” in an organization.
