The sample consists of 146 engineering, management and research students with an age range of 17-32 years (M=22.93, SD=3.67). Survey method was opted for data collection comprised of standard scales. Positive affect was measured on positive negative affectivity scale (PANAS) constructed by Watson, Clark and Tellegen (1988). Ego resiliency scale by Block and Kremen (1996) was used to measure psychological resilience. Physical health and psychological resilience was assessed on the multidimensional health questionnaire proposed by Snell and Johnson (1997) and psychological well being scale by Ryff and Keyes (1995) respectively. The results indicate that psychological resilience significantly mediates the influence of positive affect on physical health and psychological well being of a person. The results of the study will help to establish the significance of positive affect in enhancing well being via psychological resilience.

The present paper addresses the question by developing a model out of various theories and models proposed earlier. Very often entrepreneurship is defined as the process of establishing a new enterprise. The new model in this paper considers individual level as well as environmental level factors as antecedents of entrepreneurship from a psychosocial perspective. The future scope of the model has been discussed as a source of guidance for human resource professionals, organizational experts, academic professionals and policy makers.

The purpose of the paper is to understand the relationship between positive writing and positive well-being. Writing about one’s negative experiences has been found to positively influence physical and psychological health (Pennebaker & Seagal, 1999; Lyubomirsky, Sousa & Dickerhoof, 2006; Creswell et al., 2007). But few recent studies have gradually shifted the focus towards positive writing termed as insight view. Insight view says that writing about positive experiences or positive aspect of negative experiences leads to positive growth (King, 2001). The present paper makes an attempt to understand the underlying factors and processes behind positive writing and positive well-being. Theoretical and practical implications of positive writing in positive well-being have also been discussed.

Positive emotional experience and expression provide a broad and flexible thought pattern and enhance creative or adaptive thinking. Existing literature indicate that three positive cognitive state-like capacities— hope, optimistic explanatory style, and situation-specific self-efficacy also play an important role in explaining the relationship between positive emotions and creative potential. The inclusion of the three mentioned capacities in the model will facilitate the understanding of intra-individual processes that occur when an individual attempts to solve practical life problems in creative manner during a positive emotional state. The paper analyzes the implications of positive emotions for development of creative potential within the framework of positive psychology.
