It has become a new focus among researchers in designing a new educational aids and tools to help learners to understand the subject well. This study discusses on the potential of developing a learning tools for learning Arabic for medical purposes. Therefore, the learning preference of the Generation Alpha students are different as they preferred challenges and enjoy group discussion and highly interactive learning environment. In addition, they also preferred the use of digital tools and online forums to be integrated in their learning process (Kozinski, 2017). This descriptive study focus on the issues in learning Arabic for specific purposes and analyze the needs of medical students to help develop a self-ddirected learning tool prototype for learning Arabic for medical purpose. This data was collected through online google form and distributed to 22 Malay medical students in Egypt. This prototype was designed by using Microsoft PowerPoint based on the needs, opinions, and suggestions obtained from the participants involved in this study. The study found that a majority of the students have positive response towards learning Arabic language for medical purposes by using a learning tool. From this prototype, it is claimed that it can increase the students' motivation to learn Arabic medical terms and provide them with the opportunities to practice self-learning (independent learning). This interactive Arabic learning tool prototype for medical students enables teachers and students make an easy access to additional Arabic language learning aids that complement traditional learning methods.

Universities and campuses have been forced to close in response to the rapid spread of coronavirus. The delivery of education was shifted from the face-to-face learning to an online learning platform. In order to maximize online learning, many educational institutions use various of online applications such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex, Google Meet and so on. These online applications are the most effective tools in keeping students' retentions and maintaining access to their learning. This paper aims on the use of Microsoft Teams in online learning Arabic language and evaluates students' perceptions of employing it during pandemic. Data were collected using a developed questionnaire consisting of 12 items and was distributed to 200 students of UiTM Sarawak and UiTM Melaka. Results of the survey were analyzed descriptively. From the results obtained, participants agreed that online learning through Microsoft Teams has given the positive impacts to their studies and strongly support in learning Arabic language during pandemic. Overall, Microsoft Teams is one of the cutting-edge tools that meet the needs of both educators and students.

Tujuan utama kajian ini adalah untuk mengenal pasti tahap kesediaan dan faktor penerimaan e-pembelajaran dalam kalangan mahasiswa baharu dalam situasi pandemik COVID-19. Data kuantitatif dikumpul melalui borang soal selidik yang diedarkan kepada 198 responden yang terdiri daripada pelajar semester satu program asasi, diploma dan Ijazah Sarjana Muda. Hasil kajian mendapati bahawa tahap penerimaan dan kesediaan pelajar mengikuti sistem pembelajaran secara dalam talian adalah pada tahap memuaskan. Namun, terdapat beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi penerimaan pelajar dalam Pengajaran dan Pembelajaran (PdP) dalam talian secara mod penuh. Kekangan kemudahan internet merupakan antara faktor utama masalah kelancaran PdP di sesetengah kawasan tempat tinggal pelajar terutama pelajar yang berada di kawasan pedalaman. Adaptasi sistem pengajian juga menjadi fokus utama dalam penerimaan pelajar terhadap e-pembelajaran. Descriptive study is used to briefly describe the Arabic Language for Specific Purposes and analyze the characteristics of propose module as the main tool in learning activities. A set of questionnaires was distributed to 47 workers in these four mosque. The descriptive quantitative analysis was used to analyze the data by using SPSS. In general, the finding provides evidences the importance of need analysis so that the propose Arabic Language module will provide more effective and specific topics for the workers.

It is also the language of the Al-Qur'an, the holy book of Islam, thus the language is similarly widely used throughout the Muslim world until today. The Arabic language belongs to the Semitic group of languages that includes Hebrew and Amharic. As with many other languages, there are several Arabic dialects currently in use: Classical Arabic, Modern Standard Arabic and also localised dialects based on different geographical areas. At Malaysian universities, the Arabic language is a popular third language course especially for the Malay-Muslim majority students. They choose this language due to its familiarity based on the Islamic religion, and also as a way to increase their religious piety by deepening their knowledge of Islam through the Al-Qur'an. Nonetheless, compared to the English language and indeed other third languages, the teaching and learning of Arabic seem to rely mainly on the traditional chalk and talk method, followed by endless language drills and the process of memorisation. This might be a serious issue given the fact that 'Generation Z' (youngsters born between year 1995 to year 2015) and now 'Generation Alpha' (children born between year 2011 into year 2025) are true 'digital citizens' who are familiar with, and prefer to be taught through, technology. This research effort examines the above issue based on data gleaned from a mass online survey involving nearly 250 respondents. The survey questionnaire contained both Likert-scale closed statements and open questions that sought the feelings, perceptions and opinions of respondents regarding the teaching of Arabic language using current state-of-the-art education technology apps and tools. This is a timely question to ask, due to the fact that the teaching and learning process is moving into the 'Education 4.0' era that marries the teaching and learning process with learning technologies to prepare the younger generation to face the challenges and disruptions of 'Industry 4.0'.

The Arabic as a third language course is an elective subject offered to undergraduate students in UiTM. Starting from June 1999, UiTM has decided that third language courses should become one of the university's requirement subjects, making it compulsory to all first degree students. The purpose of this study was to identify the re 1 asons of UiTM students for choosing to study Arabic Language as their third language. The sampling involves 320 students from UiTM, who have enrolled in level 1, 2 and 3 Arabic course. This quantitative field research employs questionnaires and purposive sampling technique as the methods of data collection. The main findings are: most of them choose to learn Arabic language because it is the language of Islam and for them to understand more about Islam and also for worshipping purpose. Besides, most of them choose to learn the language for the purpose of their future career.

The evolution of teaching language for specific purposes has led to the growing of its needs in v... more The evolution of teaching language for specific purposes has led to the growing of its needs in various fields and areas for different targeted individuals and groups. This study is conducted to explore the perceptions of Arabic-speaking deejays in learning Arabic for media purposes as well as to investigate their opinions and suggestions on Arabic language programme for media purposes. The current study employed a case study method to present the data which were collected using semi-structured interview. It was conducted among four female deejays from IIUM.FM channel who are also the students at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). The obtained data were reported descriptively, aiming to discover the students' attitudes and personal views on Arabic language for radio broadcasting. The main findings of the study revealed that there is lack of practices and trainings with respect to radio broadcasting in Arabic language. It is also reported that speaking skill should be given priority over other languages in this field. Hence, the findings from this study will further contribute to the foreign languages teaching framework and at the same time to meet the general needs of Arabic language among the radio broadcasters in Malaysia. Introduction Since the invention of electronic mass media was introduced in the 19 th century, transformation theorist and policy makers have given great attention to the broadcasting (started with radio then television) especially in developing countries around the world including Malaysia. It acts as an effective channel in spreading the words assisted with the extraordinary capabilities which influence the local societies surrounded by these communication tools (AsiahSarji, 1991). Nowadays, the mass media has undergone continuous changes and revolutions in its system, process and production as the years pass by due to various underlying factors such as affordability, portability, people thoughts and beliefs, as well as the societies themselves and so forth.

Hasil kajian menunjukkan betapa pentingnya bahasa Arab dalam bidang kerjaya dan ianya menjadi satu keperluan dalam membina modul khusus yang dapat membantu para petugas masjid dalam mempelajari bahasa Arab untuk memudahkan tugas-tugas mereka. Justeru kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pandangan mutawwif-mutawwif Malaysia terhadap keperluan mempelajari bahasa Arab untuk Jemaah Haji dan Umrah Malaysia. Kajian ini merupakan kajian kualitatif menggunakan kaedah temubual. Temubual telah dijalankan terhadap 15 orang mutawwif-mutawwif daripada Syarikat Andalusia Travel & Tours Sdn.Bhd. untuk mengetahui pandangan mereka berdasarkan pengalaman mereka semasa membawa Jemaah haji dan umrah dari Malaysia ke tanah suci. Hasil kajian menunjukkan betapa pentingnya bahasa Arab untuk jemaah haji dan umrah dan ianya menjadi satu keperluan dalam membina modul khusus atau menambah baik modul khusus yang sedia ada untuk membantu jemaah haji dalam mempelajari bahasa Arab untuk memudahkan urusan mereka di tanah suci. Abstrak Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tujuan pengunaan Bahasa Arab untuk Tujuan Kerjaya d... more Abstrak Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tujuan pengunaan Bahasa Arab untuk Tujuan Kerjaya dalam kalangan pekerja-pekerja masjid di beberapa masjid utama Kuala Lumpur. Kajian ini telah dijalankan terhadap 47 pekerja-pekerja masjid dari tiga buah masjid utama di sekitar Kuala Lumpur iaitu Masjid Negara, Masjid Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah dan Masjid Jamek. Hasil kajian menunjukkan betapa pentingnya bahasa Arab dalam bidang kerjaya dan ianya menjadi satu keperluan dalam membina modul khusus yang dapat membantu para petugas masjid dalam mempelajari bahasa Arab untuk memudahkan tugas-tugas mereka. Diharapkan agar dapatan kajian ini dapat memberi implikasi praktikal terhadap proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran Bahasa Arab untuk Tujuan Kerjaya di masjid-masjid di seluruh Malaysia secara amnya. PENDAHULUAN Bahasa Arab merupakan antara bahasa asing yang dipelajari di hampir kesemua institusi-institusi pendidikan di Malaysia, dari peringkat pra sekolah sehinggalah peringkat pengajian tinggi iaitu universiti dan kolej. Dari segi penggunaan bahasa arab pula, secara umumnya kita dapat melihat signifikan peranan bahasa ini dalam banyak aspek selain daripada untuk tujuan keagamaan, ia meliputi pelbagai bidang yang berbeza sama ada pendidikan, pekerjaan, perniagaan dan lain-lain. Bahasa yang bertaraf antarabangsa ini juga telah diiktiraf sebagai bahasa rasmi yang keempat atau kelima yang diajari dan diguna pakai di kebanyakan negara-negara Eropah (Naqah, 2003).

dan faktor penerimaan e-pembelajaran dalam kalangan mahasiswa baharu dalam situasi
pandemik COVID-19. Data kuantitatif dikumpul melalui borang soal selidik yang diedarkan
kepada 198 responden yang terdiri daripada pelajar semester satu program asasi, diploma dan
Ijazah Sarjana Muda. Hasil kajian mendapati bahawa tahap penerimaan dan kesediaan pelajar
mengikuti sistem pembelajaran secara dalam talian adalah pada tahap memuaskan. Namun,
terdapat beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi penerimaan pelajar dalam Pengajaran dan
Pembelajaran (PdP) dalam talian secara mod penuh. Kekangan kemudahan internet merupakan
antara faktor utama masalah kelancaran PdP di sesetengah kawasan tempat tinggal pelajar
terutama pelajar yang berada di kawasan pedalaman. Adaptasi sistem pengajian juga menjadi
fokus utama dalam penerimaan pelajar terhadap e-pembelajaran. Hasil kajian juga mendapati
penerimaan responden terhadap penggunaan e-pembelajaran adalah pada tahap memuaskan
kerana majoriti responden memahami keseluruhan konsep dan tanggungjawab yang harus
dimainkan dalam melaksanakan e-pembelajaran. Secara keseluruhan, responden menerima
secara positif penggunaan e-pembelajaran bagi membantu proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran.
