This uncontrolled exchanged information carries out both negative and positive impacts in others’ lives. In this regard, this study aims to identify ethical issues on this information in line with Ibn Khaldun’s ethical considerations. Out of many other social networking sites, Twitter has been identified as one of the most popular microblogging social networking platforms. Using a simple algorithm in R programming and 43 keywords based on Ibn Khaldun’s thoughts, 1075 public tweets have been extracted from Twitter as a sample of ethical issues. The sentiment analysis in Parallel Dots was performed on the collected tweets, and it was discovered that 700 of the tweets are positive statements, 229 are neutral statements, and 146 are negative statements. Having done the validation process on these sentiments, the study proposed these identified ethical issues from tweets as a domain in developing onto...

Among the recurring problems is that the stemmer can reduce unrelated words to the same stem as well as fall short to reduce related words to a common stem. Many studies have suggested Arabic algorithms to address the problem associated with stemming. This paper aims to review the state of the retrieval performance of Arabic Light stemmers based on the main objectives achieved, causes for retrieval success and failure, retrieval measure, the affixes, and methodologies. The results showed that light 10 has better retrieval performance compared to other reviewed Arabic light stemmers.

The KMS can be considered as a pond of knowledge in the respective organization whereby the accessible of the knowledge is in the right place, right time and by the right person. The adoption of KMS could assist the organization to maintain and improve their productivity. In order to successfully adopting and implementing KMS, the identification of the key success factors in the respective environment and population is important to ensure that the core factors have been tackled. Most of the studies have elaborated thoroughly on the successful factors in implementing knowledge management as a whole but only few has discussed mainly on KMS implementation. This study provides empirical evidence in the key success factors of adopting and implementing KMS in the Malaysian context. There were 83 valid responses went for...

To comply with guidelines given by Islam, main challenges are to arrange, co-relate, extract, and find the correct meaning of knowledge engraved in these suras, juz, and verses. In this study, an argument in establishing ontology-matching technique is presented. The objective of this research is to present properties of Al-Quran tafsir knowledge. This study propose a highly granular ontology design for Al-Quran tafsir. Finally, to establish Ontology matching as knowledge management technique, this research presents experiments and results after applying word-matching technique. Presence of number of matching count in suras according to its theme proves the argument.

A general finite state model has been developed and applied to a self help system to assess the initial state of the user and discern the ways that the user can transit from that state to higher states ultimately progressing to reach a certain goal. The general model has also been diversified to show, how it can be used to add different features to the system. A proto type system entitled self-help maqam-based search system based on the seven maqams or hurdles mentioned in the book Minhaj 'al Abidin has been used as a use case. In this book, Minhaj 'al 'Abidin by Imam Ghazzali (RA), it has been illustrated how a man by crossing seven distinct hurdles one at a time by achieving certain knowledge and performing specific deeds, one can gain bounties of Allah (SWT) at the end

However, current studies show the lack of management skills among managers which could lead to undesirable circumstances and reduce the staff satisfaction especially in performing their roles correctly. In this study, the management skills that are required by managers in the Malaysian university?s library are investigated. This is due to the importance of the library as the main function for supporting research and development of universities. The study aims to identify problem occurs when the managers fail to perform decisions in the university?s library. The management skills typology differences are compared based on demographics factors including age, gender, experience and management rank. The respondents are selected from ten libraries from public universities in Malaysia. Five research university?s libraries and five non-research universitie...

The purpose of this research was to extract the online Qur’ānic search engines (OQSE) and investigate the existing thematic interpretations of al-Qur’ān (TIaQ) based on the alignment with their relevant verses. The OQSEs provide the list of themes and the aligned verses theme and the aligned rhyme in their websites. The ambiguous thematic search engines have the possibility to mislead the user by retrieving nonaligned verses against a certain subject/theme (query) or the user may not fully understand the interpretations due to the incomplete results. The extracting of themes/topic and the aligned verses have been conducted using Cranfield’s Index Device method. Then a two-round Delphi method has been applied to justify the existing themes and the aligned verses by 20 experts of Qur’ānic discipline. There are 240 themes and 400 verses have been extracted ...

Adopting Ajzen’s Amended Theory of Planned Behaviour, this research used the quantitative research approach employing an online survey using questionnaire to collect data from academics in ten public universities. Data were analyzed using SPSS and PLS-SEM. The analysis process involved assessment of the measurement model to evaluate the items reliability and validity, and assessment of the structural model to evaluate its validity, path coefficients, and test the hypotheses. The results revealed a high level of knowledge sharing practice. Furthermore, the results showed that academics’ knowledge sharing behaviour is significantly influenced by explicit knowledge, tacit knowledge, and intention. Intention itself is significantly influenced by attitude, subjective norms, selfefficacy, but not influenced by controllability. Also, attitude is significantly and positively influenced by trust and reputation as motivators of knowledge sharing behaviour. Whereas, controllability is significantly and negatively influenced by lack of time and poor communication as barriers of knowledge sharing behaviour. Keywords - academics, knowledge sharing behaviour, Theory of Planned Behavior, UAE, universities.

It is necessary to carry out some form of assessment to justify the reality of the situation, whether the current libraries offer quality e-service and satisfy their users or not. The purpose of this paper was to review the existing models developed in accessing the quality of library e-service. Literature search method will be used to identify the most comprehensive model that can be implemented in evaluating the quality of library e-service. Since prominent models of service quality and the quality of e-service in non-library setting have been used as the basis for the development of the models for the library setting, only selected prominent models and their limitations will be highlighted. From the review, it was found that the hierarchical type of model is the most comprehensive model i...
