This study design with aimed to find out the prevalence of malaria in human population of District Mardan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. A descriptive study was conducted from 1 January to 31 December, st st 2013. The data were collected from different health care centers of the entire district. For statistical analysis PHStat2 software version 2.5 was used, applied Chi-square test. P-value below 0.05 was considered as significant. A total of 11272 malarial suspected patients were enrolled. Among the total cases (6.8%) were positive comprises male to female ratio was (43.73%) and (56.27%) respectively. Among the positive cases (92.56%) were found Plasmodium vivax and (7.44%) were Plasmodium falciparum. On the basis of age groups high number of cases (47.4%) was observed in age between 0-20 years. Prevalence rate of malaria was found high (3.25%) in Tehsil Mardan. The highes...

This study is based on survey approach and aims to examine the impact of demographic factors/variables like gender andage of children and parental profession on children in Delhi ( India). A sample of 60 parents and 60 children between the age group 6-16 years were studied by two different close ended questionnaires. Analysis of the data showed that children especially boys in the age group of 14-16 years have more influence than the girls in the same age group. Moreover this influence increases when parents are professionally more involved than otherwise. This study will help in understanding the purchase behavior of children in Delhi and it can also serve as guideline for marketers in targeting a particular children segment. Key words—Demographic variables, Parental profession, purchase decision, Delhi, children segment ——————...

The factors comprise leadership, strategy and planning, information and analysis, customer focus, people management and process management. The data were gathered from 129 employees from various departments of modern trade stores. The statistical analysis concludes that the overall regression model is highly significant. Customer focus and process management were found to be the enablers with highest level of significance when correlated with customer satisfaction i.e. 64.7% and 63.9%. However, an anomaly was seen in the case of strategy and planning which showed a non-significant negative relationship. The findings of this research can prove to be of high value for policy makers in these organizations and those who intend to take this field as a new venture.

Highest growth and amylase activity (3.882 OD and 132.3 AU, respectively after 72 hours at 60°C) were obtained by using medium-4. Conditions for the maximum production of amylase in submerged culture fermentation were optimized using medium-4. Conditions for the maximum production of amylase in submerged culture fermentation were optimized using medium-4. It was found that by using 5% inoculum of 30 hours age, amylase activity of 140.8 AU was obtained. Optimization of agitation speed (150 rpm), temperature (60°C), pH (7.5), starch (2.5 %) and glucose (3%) increased activity from 140.8 AU to 162.4 AU.
