China’s presents and influence in the region has been increasing in the past decade in the detriment of Russian influence. This paper analyzes the New Silk Road and Sino-Russian relations through the lens of liberalism, realism and neocolonialism. The Belt and Road Initiative presents itself as a revolutionary project however the changes it produces in terms of trade are minimal. Strategic aspects trump the trade related ones. The paper demonstrates that China needs Russia to participate in order to make the project successful while Russia should participate in order to limit China from taking control over the region, thus realism is they school of thought together with neocolonialism.

To analyse this, we look at 10 acts or key events from the US banking industry and compare them against variant macroeconomic indicators. The result shows that lawmakers imposed deregulations upon the banking industry in moments of economic growth and regulatory measures after a period of economic downturn. This has some serious implications for policy making. In the end, we attempt to conclude whether lawmakers should back off and have a hands off approach to banking industry or if they should permanently regulate.

As for the these novel varieties, it is said that at the end of the Second World War, as a result of the radical change in the global balance of power, the former metropolises – such as the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Belgium –, have left their place to dissimulated, disguised colonial actors – such as the United States of America and the Soviet Union –, the latter being continued, in intricated manners, by its post-Cold-War heir, the Russian Federation. In this paper, I attempt to explain the extent to which the characteristics of Russia’s current international relations with the former members of the Soviet Union, which have gained their independence, but live since then under...

Current educational systems and processes need to anticipate the challenges of the new millennium... more Current educational systems and processes need to anticipate the challenges of the new millennium and lay the foundations for the future in the economic, social, technological, cultural and relational context. New educational programs must seriously consider a number of conditions such as: entirely new ways of serving existing needs and significantly disrupt existing industry value chains; growing transparency, consumer engagement, and new patterns of consumer behavior; the development of technology-enabled platforms that combine both demand and supply to disrupt existing industry structures, such as those we see within the “sharing” or “on demand” economy. In this paper I`ve started from the assumption that in the specific conditions of a creativity-based economy is necessary to rethink the components of the matrix partnership crossing from `triple helix` to `quadruple helix` logic. This new model becomes necessary because under current regional and international circumstances Mode...

An introspection at the level of the specialized literature allows to find that there are many definitions of this concept, being able to speak even about a series of regional versions of the term (African, Asian or Latin American). Research by many analysts has revealed the deep vulnerabilities of the state of fact that can be categorized as a neo-colonial type. In this paper we start from the hypothesis that the states of Central Asia are in a unique situation because it is not possible to speak of complete independence if most of their resources are still used in the interest and development of those who are in the vicinity of the region or at distances greater than this. Throughout this paper, sustainable arguments are made in support of the id...
