This particular view was partially amended in the 19 th century, owing to the fascinating aesthetic interpretation of her death, testified by the number of paintings devoted to her individual drama. Largely mysterious are the motivations and the explanations of her madness: notwithstanding a large amount of essays, Ophelia's madness is still a topic worth of investigation, if we adopt a "gendered" view, attempting to deconstruct the dangerous mix of patriarchy with the cultural legacy based on the negative women's identity widespread during the Renaissance. Ophe-lia's madness is here analyzed using the tools of gender studies, in order to understand the multiple constraints put in place by her father, her brother, and by Hamlet himself. The clash between Ophe-lia's desires, focused on marriage and love, and the collapse of her future d...

Rowling. This figure mixes in itself the distinctive features of the scholars and philosophers, first of all Pythagoras, the most charismatic of the sages of the ancient era. In addition to the classic sources, the influence of the English and French literary works seems evident through some references to the character of King Arthur and the Round Table, or the Magician Merlin. J.K. Rowling has so skillfully combined in the construction of Albus Dumbledore many traces that come from the past.

Firstly, it means describing these hitherto little–known situations; and secondly, it means offering interpretations based on the situations themselves, and which are thus adapted to the specific historical experiences being recounted. The contributions contained herein describe the anxieties, hesitations, contradictions and paradoxes which characterise the process of incorporating women into the education system in Greece, Portugal, Italy and Spain, highlighting the similarities which exist between the cases. And they do so in a diverse range of dimensions and areas, from the studies and professional practice of female primary teachers and the presence of girls in secondary education, a field traditionally reserved for boys, to non formal and informal educational institutions.
