In realtime, two or more emotions can exist simultaneously at a given instant. The emotions can be expressed sequentially or merge to form a new emotion altogether. Combination of two or more basic emotions is known as compound emotions. Anxiety, an emotion triggered as a response to a potential threat, can be defined as a compound emotion comprising anger, fear and sadness predominantly. Speech signal-based emotion recognition system is developed to identify the basic emotions in anxiety. Autoencoders are used to learn the features of the voice samples and neural network classifies the basic emotions and estimates the likelihood of those in anxiety.

This may happen because of the anticipation about the Misaim is to study the efficacy of patient education program to reduce the anxiety of patients undergoing MRI scan. The Study Design is Randomized Controlled Trial. Three groups involved in this study are: (1) Intervention group (2) Placebo group (3) wait-listed group. Sample size: 25 patients in intervention and placebo group and 30 in wait-listed group. Tools used in the study: Anxiety Scale, Pulse Oximeter. Study Procedure: In this phase, data collection was done based on guidelines on randomized controlled trial. Sequence generation was done using a computer based program. Allocation concealment was achieved using Sequentially Numbered, Opaque, Sealed Envelopes (SNOSE) to avoid deciphering. The participants were blinded regarding the arm to which they were allocated. Informed Consent and sociodemographic data was obtained from the participant Comparison of the pre and post an iety of patients in intervention and placebo group indicates that there is a significant decrease in anxiety levels of patients in intervention Compared to that of placebo group.Comparison of pre and post pulse of patients in intervention and placebo group indicates that there is no statistically significant change in the pulse readings. Comparsion of pre and post oxygen saturation level in patients in intervention and placebo group which indicates that there is no statistically significant change in the oxygen saturation level after intervention group as compared to placebo group.

Globally, it has continued to lay a strong grip on society by influencing people’s worldview. Even though the spread of misinformation in the virtual world was majorly investigated as a result of the uncontrollable nature of the medium itself, this study has aimed at understanding the relationship between the need for effortful thinking with the likeliness to share and believe in misinformation by young adults. The study employed a cross sectional design and recruited 384 participants between the ages of 18 and 25 and utilised the Need for cognition scale NCS-6 by Coelho, Hanel, & Wolf, 2018, to measure effortful thinking and a checklist to measure likeliness to share social media messages. The results revealed that high effort thinking in individuals prevents further sharing of misinformation on social media. This study also shed light on the difference in effortful thinking o...

However, apart from the changes the movement initiated, the issue of why women chose to disclose in the context of the movement has not been extensively examined. Why women disclose such a sensitive topic in the public domain, often via social media, within the Indian cultural context, where matters such as sexual abuse are considered taboo, warrants further examination. This article explores the reasons for disclosure among Indian women participating in the #MeToo movement, through qualitative research, using the interpretative phenomenological approach. The emergent themes include reactions to the injustice, expectations of validation and closure, addressing stigma, initiation of dialogue and social change, as well as expression of solidarity, as the purpose for which disclosures were undertaken.

However, children with ASD who seek rehabilitation services tend to drop out once they enter puberty, because of varying reasons, some of which are unknown. This study intended to explore the reasons for not availing of rehabilitation services in families of adolescents with ASD and the parental challenges in taking care of adolescents with ASD. Method: The study followed a descriptive qualitative research design by conducting in-depth interviews with 12 primary caregivers of adolescents with ASD (10 to 19 years; mean age 16.3 years) who were not availing of any direct rehabilitation services. All interviews were conducted by telephone, and data obtained were subjected to thematic analysis. Results: The results showed two major themes, viz. reasons for discontinuing the rehabilitation services and parental challenges among primary caregivers of adolescents with ASD, and th...
