Introduction: Natural lordotic curves in the cervical spine, which gradually curve back into the apex of the chest and upper back at the base of the skull, are indicative of a healthy cervical spine. Hand grip strength can be determined by determining the amount of maximum force that the hand can squeeze against a dynamometer. Grip strength determines how tightly and securely one can grasp objects. Therefore, this study looked at the relationship between hand grip strength and cervical spine position in a healthy collegiate population. Objective: To study the correlation between cervical spine posture and hand grip strength in healthy collegiate population. Methodology: Total 100 male and female subjects. The subjects for the study were included based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. After explaining the benefits, objectives, and purpose of the study in detail, they were asked to complete the screening form and consent form to conduct the study on the impact of cervical spine po...

Background: Dysmenorrhea is one of the common gynaecologic problems among female students. It results in long resting period and regular college absenteeism among that age group. Dysmenorrhea among female medical students may be associated with high stress level. Also both obesity and dysmenorrhea are prevalent among women. This study aims to investigate the association of dysmenorrhea with BMI and stress. Objective: To find out the relation between frequency of dysmenorrhea with BMI & degree of stress, also to find out the relation between frequency of dysmenorrhea and body mass index among medical female students of Noida International University. Methodology: An observational study carried out using snowball sampling technique among the medical student enrolled in the NIU.The questionnaire was sent via what's app, Facebook, and G-mail and also requested to further share among their contacts and encouraged to fill by students of SON&HS,NIU. A questionnaire containing anthropom...

One of the most prevalent neurological illnesses affecting the VII cranial nerve is paralysis of facial nerve. The loss of sophisticated and multidimensional capabilities such as expression of emotions via facial mimicry, face identification, and communication is caused by nerve paralysis. Through stimulation of the proprioceptors, the Kabat rehabilitation therapy for facial paralysis can trigger or restore the neuromuscular circuit, restoring the normal functionality of nerve terminals in the muscles. This study aims to show how a patient can gain functional & aesthetic benefits through detailed clinical evaluation followed by kabat rehabilitation. Functionality evaluation of the facial nerve was based on the SFGS,FDI and H- B scales Patients who were treated with kabat rehabilitation method restored motor capacities of the paralysed hemifacia. Keywords:  Kabat rehabilitation, facial nerve, facial palsy, proprioceptive facilitation, rehabilitation.

Objectives To examine the effects of moderate intensity resistance training with blood flow restriction on muscle strength and forearm girth. Methods Total of 39 students enrolled in this study were divided into three groups that is group A (control group), group B and group C. Group A performed exercise training without restrictive pressure, group B and C performed exercise training with 50 and 75 mmHg respectively. Both the outcome measures were evaluated on day 1 and day 12th with the help of digital dynamometer and measuring tape. Results Repeated measure ANOVA with Post hoc analysis was done using SPSS software version 20. The result of the study showed significant (p≤0.05) within subject improvement in muscle strength and muscle girth in all the three groups. However, significant improvement in muscle strength was found in between group analysis (p≤0.05). Conclusions The results of the study can be concluded as the partial blood flow restriction (50 mmHg) with moderate intensi...

The term “Fan” was first time coined by Haast in his work about Canterbury Plains on 1864. He consider that these plains were fan shaped developed by the depositional work from the Pleistocene Glaciers. After a century (1964) Carryer put out the concept that the Alluvial fans are formed in the foothill zone produced by the depositional work by river or water. “Alluvial fans and Cones due accumulation of materials are always famed at the base of foothills where there is abrupt drop (decrease) in the channel gradient.” (Savindar Singh). “An alluvial fan is a body of sediment whose surface form approximates to the segments of a cone which radiates down slope from a point on a mountain front, usally where a stream emerges.” (Michael A Summerfie

Background: Osteoarthritis knee is a prevalent condition and comprises 50% of all musculoskeletal disorders according to WHO. Therefore there is a need to bring about adjunct exercise protocols in the field of rehabilitation to bring faster recovery even in elderly with low loads. Case Presentation: A patient, a 70-year-old female presented with complain of pain in the bilateral knee. Her problem list included crepitus, reduced knee range of motion with decreased strength, swelling, bony tenderness, morning stiffness which was managed by Blood flow restriction training (BFR) along with Kinaesthesia, Balance Training (KB). Until now in the literature, nothing has been found about the combination of these two approaches. Also, the pressure utilized in the past was too high for the geriatric population. Conclusion: The results showed decrease knee pain, improved balance, hypertrophy, and increase range of motion. Keywords: Blood flow restriction, proprioception, osteoarthritis knee, pr...
