Adorno's philosophically less systematic and more dialectical approach to such questions, albeit of a negative dialectic, might prove more adherent to grasping the objective conditions of the crisis than the well-known Habermasian philosophy and sociology of intersubjectivity. The latter, if he has the merit of having opposed Adornian negativism with theoretical rigor, has, however, ended up confining reason and communicative action in a conceptual and normative space, abstracted from the concrete material and class conflicts that cyclically traverse the historical dynamic.

However, he has no intention of systematically developed with the transition from the cognitivedevelopmental level of recognition, or anthropology of recognition, the ethics of recognition, despite his theory of discourse can and must be included among the ethics of difference and otherness.
