Dr. Enes TURBIC is an Assistant Professor at Trakya University. In 2012 he completed TÖMER Turkish Language school at Ankara Gazi University. He completed his university education at Trakya University in 2016. He was entitled to study in the master’s program of the same university in the History Department and graduated from the department in 2018. He graduated from Trakya University’s doctorate program in 2023 with his study on the Political life in Austro-Hungarian era of Bosnian history. He has been working at Trakya University since 2017. His main areas of study are history of 19th and 20th century of Bosnia and Herzegovina, history of Western Balkans within the scope of history of this region as well as international relations.
Beside Bosnian Language as a mother language, Enes Turbic speaks Turkish and English fluently.

The aim of this paper is to analyze the political organizations of Bosniaks, Serbs and Croats of ... more The aim of this paper is to analyze the political organizations of Bosniaks, Serbs and Croats of Bosnia and Herzegovina under the rule of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy and the emergence of the first political organizations of the aforementioned nations. As a result of the decisions made at the Berlin Congress held in 1878, Bosnia and Herzegovina became a part of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, which ruled Bosnia and Herzegovina for forty years. From the beginning of the Austro-Hungarian period in 1878 until 1906, active political life and the active work of political organizations in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina were not recorded. The first concrete active political initiatives of the nations in the mentioned country began in December 1906. The first political party of the modern history of Bosnia and Herzegovina was Muslim National Organization (MNO), which was founded by Bosniaks. The second political party was Serbian National Organization (SNO). This party of Serbs of Bosnia and Herzegovina was founded in 1907. The third party founded was Croatian National Union (HNZ). This party was party of Croats of Bosnia and Herzegovina, founded in 1908. After the HNZ party, Muslim Progressive Party (MNS) was founded in the same year. After those political parties, in 1909 Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SDSBiH) was founded. In 1910 Croatian Catholic Union (HKU) was founded too. In order to shed light on the political life of Bosnia and Herzegovina during the period of Austro-Hungarian rule, in our work we analyze the establishment, programs, goals of the aforementioned political organizations. Also we analyze that whether their planned goals were achieved or not, using archival and local sources.

Calismamizda oncelikle Bosna-Hersek’in bin yillik tarihindeki anayasal gelismeler yer almaktadir. Daha sonra, 1991 yilinda Yugoslavya Sosyalist Federal Cumhuriyeti’nin ayrismaya baslamasi ve Bosna-Hersek topraklarinda vuku bulan, 1995 yilinin kisina kadar suren savasa deginilmistir. Ayrica, ABD’de imzalanan Dayton Baris Anlasmasi ve yeni devlet sisteminin anayasal gelismeleri analiz edilmektedir. Bu calisma, Dayton sonrasi Bosna-Hersek’te olusturulan anayasaya ve Bosna-Hersek Yuksek Temsilciligine odaklanarak temsilciligin gorevleri ile yetkileri baglaminda vermis oldugu kararlari incelemektedir.
