Immersed in the Tuscan countryside the pievana structure oriented North - Est, is surrounded by terraces and forested areas, easily accessible by road than from Castiglion Fibocchi, leads to the hamlet of Gello Biscardo. The Romanesque church of San Quirico is documented for the first time in 1099 in a deed of gift , " infra plebe sancti kirici sita Alfiano" and in a later document dating back to 1131. Long abandoned, the site was purchased at the beginning of the millennium by the City of Castiglione Fibocchi. The first results of archaeological investigations initiated in 2013 are materials and structures that talk about a very long and glorious history that has affected the entire site in the centuries of San Quirico in Alfiano.
