It not only offers the news about the frequentdownfall of authoritarian regimes here and there, but most importantly, itheralds that theunstintingcurrent trend of empires itself is on the death bed in contemporary international relations. This sheds light on the possibility of a new and amiable way of decision making in international politics. The arriving trend isthus different than the pattern hitherto known to mankind, the imperial orthodoxy, where the whole actors are doomed to accept decisions that are being imposed on them from a single inner center. This one way street approach is to disrupt due to new developments in international relations. At present, the international system displays a uni-multipolar system, which is a unilateralist multipolar system. The realities on the ground reflect incompatibleness of this system to the 21 st century. Author only raises questions about the future direction of youth, but also highlights the need to establish new networks of the third sectors that are capable to unite the political, civic and social aspect as well and thus help strengthen the citizenship of young people. At the end of publication, readers will find the latest analysis of the EU documents in which are reiterated some of the known facts contained in the White Paper on Youth (2002). The starting point for a newly conceived European youth policy is the indisputable fact that growth and prosperity depend on an active contribution and participation of all young people, particularly because their number among the total population is diminishing and therefore the current young generation will have to bear the growing costs of an aging population. Current living conditions for young people to develop their skills to work and to participate actively in society, particularly in view of globalization and knowledge-based economies can not be characterized as favorable. Problems that young people face, such as high rates of child poverty, poor health, early school leaving and youth unemployment, suggest a need to review investment that Europe is making in its youth. The publication " Úvod do politickej sociológie mládeže " brings ideas and arguments in support of efforts to transfer attention to the political sociology of the original concept of youth and youth policy portfolio (participation, volunteering, information, better understanding of youth) the need to develop transversal youth strategy. This new concept of creating closer links between the European policy framework for youth set up since the adoption of the White Paper on Youth and other policies that affect youth (social, housing, health, cultural, employment, school) to develop a coherent approach to youth policy as key of achieving a real progress towards the objectives of youth policy. Emília Podoláková Getnet, Tamene: Moderné medzinárodné vzťahy a svetová politika. Stručný prehľad Iura Edition, Bratislava 2010, 275 pages Politicians often offer their own solutions of contemporary crisis and problems in politics thinking that everyone of them understands politics as well as football. " Even today we all create our own mental images of world politics – exact or not that exact, conscious or subconscious. Nevertheless, our levels of consciousness, our images simplifying the reality by exaggerating some of the characteristic of the real world ignore the others. This way we live in the world defined by our expectations and images. " (p. 213-214) However if we want to understand contemporary world, world politics and international relations it is necessary to gain enough knowledge. Within living memory, the best tool to do that is a book or a textbook. The newest Slovak political science book in the area of theories of international relations is a publication by Getnet Tamene named " Modern international relations and world politics (short summary). While the absence of sound common threat has generally deepened the rifts in the relationships of the enlarged transatlantic alliance (ETAA) in the post-CW era, current events have protracted the rifts even further, putting in question the nature of the alliance's democratic practice, which is meant to serve as a model to those beyond it. Since decision making on global issues has been unilaterally dominated by Washington, this behavior significantly discourages democratic practice. It is worth to assess the ETAA in light of democratic practice and global decision making capacity as well as in light of the threat logic. Following the analysis the paper will make a viable recommendation. Kľúčové slová demokratická prax, globálna politika, logika hrozby 1 This refers mainly to the US and Western European countries. In the post-Cold War era it included the Central and Eastern European Countries, which were incorporated to the Atlantic region, while constituting what is now understood as Enlarged Transatlantic Alliance (ETAA). Thus ETAA encompasses a wide array of relations between the two sides of Atlantic, and does not mean NATO per se.

Nevertheless, the outcome has shown perceptual imbalances. This is because the knowledge gatekeepers, or individuals and organisations such as researchers and companies who associate with knowledge production and sharing, might have usually produced misconceptions on African realities due to various reasons, including inadequate data procession, politics and deliberate act of juxtaposing the African realities.

Based on perspectives from Central and Eastern Europe, the book conceptualizes the fundamentals of economic and managerial thought in the context of today's transformation process, offering a genuine account regarding the pace of adaptation and change in the wake of globalization's latest phase. Studies in Economics and Policy Making asserts that knowledge management has become an essential component in economic policy making beyond previous assumptions, while complimenting and enhancing larger achievements at domestic and international levels. Increasingly, necessary managerial skill levels and abilities - including enhanced leadership skills, effective communication, and capacities for knowledge mobilization - will help lead societies towards greater success amidst greater uncertainty.

While casting light on the political and economic malaises that have recently affected society globally, it predicts prospects for the future. Principally, it scrutinizes ranges of complex issues, including the declining nation-state based international politics and the emergent global political and economic order with underpinning strong regions. It reflects, why the emergent order and its constituent systems cry out for solutions over the planet as it treks deeper towards the 21st century. By placing the concern for transformation and development at a center point, this publication contributes to the public debate on issues that have direct bearing on the ordinary man. Its diligent chapters cover a broader range of advanced socio-political matters helpful to comprehend orders, systems, power and the normative dynamics, including their regional and global context. Its aspiration to revitalize the entire human polity makes this volume timely, critical and relevant.

Developments in science, religion, ps ychology, international law and various educational branches support the need for d iplomacy and effective diplomatic approaches to a whole range of political and social problems. These developments need to be assimilated into diplomacy. Together wit h this, avoiding impious behaviour of strong actors towards universally reco gnized international norms, and firm belief in multilaterally coordinated use of fo rce appear to be indispensable stabilising factors in contemporary international r elations. Post-Cold War evolution of international relations shows that bipolarism had crumbled. Nevertheless, the world has faced a rash of new difficulties. Religious, ethnic and national antagonisms have flared concurr ently with the emergence of transnational problems such as the world health cri ses of AIDS, the spread of drug use, environmental degradation, the deepening gap b etween very few rich and a large number of poors, and burgeoning refugee issues to mention some. Since the emergence of the United Nations with the increase i n number of nations the importance of diplomacy substantially increased. Where as, currently, in the post

Due to the fact that students learn in various ways, the teachers implement a combination of approaches including synchronous, asynchronous, critical thinking, case study, tutorial, and team-based learning among others. They provide education in both classroom mode and on the online platform. Moreover, they try to educate their students in both Slovak and English languages. Besides the regular English language programs, the teachers also provide core skill-enhancing courses like Technical English, Business English, as well as, English of automotive mechanics and commerce. The paper presents examples of good practice related to the use of a recently written textbook English of Automotive Mechanics and Commerce within the teaching processes, which has been essential for skilled language teachers who also have a nice command of mechanical and commerc...

This is because the knowledge gatekeepers, or individuals and organisations such as researchers and companies who associate with knowledge production and sharing, might have usually produced misconceptions on African realties due to various reasons, including inadequate data procession, politics and deliberate acts of juxtaposing the African realities. With globalisation now operating, the question how knowledge is being produced in Africa and what role gatekeepers play in this respect becomes harder to answer. Africa pursues low-level knowledge production activities, focusing on traditional sources of knowledge and a limited scale of individual interaction, as opposed to the high-level mainstream academia of the industrialised world, which is based on official interaction, aided by adequate infrastructures encompassing numerous educational...
