Grazyna Pulawska is a Project Manager at Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) since February 2010. She is responsible for the Asia-Europe Environment Forum (ENVforum) programme, which aims to strengthen co-operation between Asian and European stakeholders in the field of environmental and sustainable development with the particular focus on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) implementation.Prior to ASEF, Grazyna worked for the Ministry of Economy in Poland, working in the field of regional development. She has also been active in the NGO sector, mainly with the Service Civil International network in Belgium and the Development Wheel, a Bangladesh-based NGO specialising in supporting local entrepreneurship and fair trade.She received her Master's degree in International Relations through a joint programme between the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris and the Warsaw School of Economics.

This innovative study presents a set of illustrative goals and indicators created by analysing the connections between proposed SDGs and national strategic documents. The research was conducted by a team of Asian and European experts on sustainable development. This publication is followed by Part II (available for download here), which focuses entirely on indicators for sustainable development as well as potential applications and availability of those measures in Asia and Europe.

This study focuses on the national level challenges relating to SDG implementation based on three themes selected as relevant for Viet Nam: poverty, agriculture, and energy and climate change. This publication aims to support ASEM countries in implementing and monitoring SDGs by offering a selection of thematic case studies based on practical experience and strategic guidance for national-level SDG implementation.
