Further he did not persecute the Jews but applied against them the law of the Roman Empire. After this proof is given that the monk Ammonius together with other monks contested the prefect Orestes for being addicted to making human sacrifices and was put to death by torture against the laws for having slightly wounded the prefect with a stone. The inspiration of the unlawful behavior of Orestes went back to Hypatia, a very influent woman, and she was held responsible for the breaking of the law by the savage prefect. This was the reason of her murder. Further, I give abundant proof of human sacrifice in antiquity and late antiquity, a custom condemned by Christian writers, saints and martyrs, who had it stopped.

He uses frequently phrases like "united according to nature" to indicate the union of divinity and humanity in Christ, against the council of Chalcedon which dogmatized two natures. Here proof is given that St. Cyril has been declared orthodox by the dogmas of the Church. The problem of his mophysism is solved with the aid of aristotelian philosophy to which St. Cyril refers. This paper is opposed to what the jesuit A. Grillmeier writes about St. Cyril in his book Jesus the Christ in the Faith of the Church, vol I part. II.

Indeed, he also quotes a verse from the Iliad where the poet states "the very god" singular, this, and other more elaborate arguments, prove that Homer was monotheist. i don't want to give a definitive judgement, certainly this is one of the many difficulties of the homeric poems.

Aeschines was accused by Timarch and Demosthenes of having mishandled an embassy to Philip. He reacted by calling a docimasy (censorial trial) against Timarch for habing been, among others things, an homosexual prostitute. In fact there as a law dating back to Solon which prevented those who had prostituted themselves from speaking to the people, a thing that Timarch had frequently done. Aeschines proved well the charges and won a remarkable victory.
