The most popular mode of education in KSA is the traditional, face-to-face or on-ground education. In recent years, there was a movement towards the implementation of online education in the Saudi society to improve the knowledge and skills of the Saudi students and to eliminate the issue of gender segregation in the country. However, if compared to on-ground education, the movement to the online mode of education is still slow, and not welcomed by the Saudi Ministry of Higher Education, public or private employers and organizations, faculty, students, or their parents. This study attempts to answer the following research question: what are the Saudi students’ perceptions toward online education vs. on-ground education in KSA? The aim of this research is to identify Saudi students ’ perceptions about their education system and also to find out whether t...

We are becoming a culture that is dependent on technology to complete the activities in our daily lives. Technology is changing our culture in such a way that we may be expected to be available and “online” at anytime of the day or night. This exploratory study of 88 undergraduate and graduate students at a midAtlantic university found that students depend on technology to fulfill their communication and information seeking needs and to complete their daily activities. This study argues that students are becoming increasingly dependent on technology to accomplish their daily activities and thus forgetting how to complete these tasks without the use of technology.

With this growing trend, faculty and universities are facing increased risks with validating student identities in online courses and combatting unethical student behavior. This exploratory study of 75 faculty members will examine faculty perceptions of academic dishonesty specific to validating student identities along with discussing techniques used to combat academic dishonesty. Additionally, it is important to understand how faculty perceptions correlate with demographic characteristics and their experiences in order for administrators and universities to effectively develop techniques to mitigate the risks associated with academic dishonesty in online courses.

With this shift in education, it is important to understand the students' and faculty perceptions of what constitutes cheating and unethical behavior in online classes. This exploratory study of 457 undergraduate students and 75 faculty members will assess what methods students are utilizing to complete course work and which of these methods is considered academically dishonest by faculty. This study seeks to understand the gaps that exists between these two groups to help establish a clear set of guidelines of permissible techniques for completing coursework based upon faculty and student perceptions.

This exploratory study of 146 undergraduate and graduate students examines the oversharing of information on Facebook and the possible consequences associated with this action. Research has found that students are concerned about sharing information and show concern about the effects of sharing information on Facebook. The results of the study reveal that students are worried about criminal activity such as identity theft, unauthorized access to online banking accounts, cyberstalking, cyberbullying, and child predators. Can information that is being shared on Facebook contribute to cybercrime? Should people think twice before posting personal information online?

Mobile devices are being used to commit crimes and are becoming a target to gain user information for harmful intentions. Mobile security remains a top concern to businesses. The project advances both knowledge and education in the field of mobile cybersecurity and cyber forensics by creating an online Mobile Forensics and Security (MFS) certificate program and developing and implementing a train-the-trainer program for Computer Information Systems faculty. This will increase Robert Morris University's capacity to train MFS specialists and the capacity of other institutions to offer programs in this area once their faculty has been trained.
