The population for the study was all 69 public senior secondary schools in the district. Three out of five Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the district was the sample for the study. Five schools were sampled from each of the three LGAs making 15 schools using multistage sampling procedure. The instruments for the study were 15 teacher-made multiple choice questions with 635 items that were used forsenior secondary school three (SSS III) students in the 15 schools in the first term of 2019/2020 academic session.Scores (grades) of 1,015 students that sat the examinations were collected to determine the students' performance in the teacher-made multiple choice questions. Two research questions raised in the study were answered using frequency counts and percentage. The findings of the study revealed thatitem-writing flaws were prevalent in teacher-made economics multiple choice questions. It was also found that the flaws in the items negatively influenced students' performance in the examinations as 40% of them failed it. It was recommended that frequent seminars and workshops should be organized for teachers by government and other concern organisations on how to construct flaw-free multiple choice questions in economics. Also teachers should subject their self-developed multiple choice tests to item analysis in order to identify and remove flawed times.

Cross-sectional research design was adopted for the study. The population for the study was the totality of Nigerians on social media. The sample for the study was 1,283 respondents that participated in the study during its three weeks of online data collection period. The instrument for the study was 35-item Google questionnaire tagged Students' Access to Learning during COVID-19 Questionnaire (SALCOVID-19Q) with reliability coefficients of 0.82. The two research questions in the study were answered using frequency count, percentage and mean. The findings of the study revealed that studentshad no enough access to learning during COVID-19 school lockdown in Nigeria. It also revealed that factors that affected students' access to learning during the period include erratic power supply, inadequate awareness, poor network connectivity, non-availability of learning equipment, financial challenge, unfriendly parents' and students' attitude and fear of contracting COVID-19. The study recommended among other things that proper awareness should be given to students on how to access learning via mass and social media. Also, students should be frequently exposed to learning on the media to prepare for future challenges.

The study adopted expost facto research design. The population consisted of all 7,903 students who sat for economics in ESUE in 2014 who later sat for the subject in WASSCE and NECOSSCEin 2015. The sample comprised 720 students from 36 secondary schools selected from six Local Government Areas (LGAs) using simple and quota random sampling techniques. The instrument for the study was inventory which was used to collect students' economics grades in ESUE (2014), WASSCE (2015) and NECOSSCE (2015). Two research hypotheses formulated for the study were tested using Simple Linear Regression at 0.05 level of significance. The findings of the study revealed that ESUE significantly predicts students' performance in Economics in WASSCE and NECOSSCE. It was recommended among others that items of ESUE needs to be frequently validated and its reliability should be ascertained by psychometricians before administering them on students. Also the predictive validity studies of ESUE should be replicated in other subjects in secondary schools.
