The meaning of these numerous published collections, the outbreak of the nineteenth neo-encyclopedicism, is not limited to narrowly understood didacticism and bourgeois criticism of “bȇtise”. The form used in them is based on the paradox that determines its uniqueness. The starting point for studying this paradoxical form is the semantic tension between ossification, repetition, symbolized by the stereotype and literary character of these “para-dictionaries”, which through irony, humor, linguistic gloss, original selection are examples of creative transformation “ossified”, which is the opposite of originality and repeated. In the twentieth and twenty-first century, the use of the “para-dictionary” form leads to the redefinition of certain genres, as is the case with Genette’s innovative autobiography.

Abstract : One of the traits that singles out the Pascal Quignard's writing is undoubtedly a tendency towards etymological references. This writing technique is not ...

Based on the assumption of the pre-scientific character of the diploma thesis and the resulting imperative of objectivity, the aim of the article is to examine the traces of subjectivity present in the language of the diploma theses. The subject of interest is both subjectivity expressed in 1 singular person, but above all other, less obvious, more “constructed” forms (e.g. metaphors, expressive use of adjectives), which express the emotional commitment of the author of the work. In conclusion, the analysis of the works shows a conflict of paradigms: the scientific imperative of objectivism with the desire to express emotions aroused by literature, and in this indirect way, also to express one’s self and personality.

The possibility of usage of slider-crank mechanism for these purposes has been proved. Linear dimensions of lever mechanism that meet the requirements defined by the applied motor and SIRB parameters have been determined on the ground of parametric synthesis. The performed force analysis has proved the application of fluid power drive.

Meanwhile, the ambiguity of some gestures of president Emmanuel Macron, visible during the funeral ceremony of Johnny Hallyday, sparked protests among the laicity defenders, especially since it fell exactly on the anniversary of the 1905 law on the separation of Churches from the State. Is it possible to see in the president’s behaviour signs of striving to push the limits of secularity that seemed so far unshakeable? An analysis of Macron’s speeches, forming a kind of political theology, will allow us to feature the outlines of the new post-secular laicity that is emerging during his presidency.

In his novel, 2084. La fin du monde, whose title refers directly to Orwell’s work, Sansal creates a vision of a world dominated by religious totalitarianism. The purpose of this paper is to show how the affected body of the main character (and its recovery) becomes both a metaphor of opposition to the totalitarian system and a central structural, semantic and rhythmic figure of the text.

It constitutes not only plenteaus thematic confluence but also or even majorly an axis of the book’s construction. Its structure encompasses various layers such as: rhetorical, stylistic and typographic, which separately and together combined reside in prevailing tensioned coexistence of presence and absence.

Intimidated by the magnitude of change, upon his return Florent wanders the streets, meanders and strolls in circles which casts a horrendous contradiction with the austerity of Hausmann’s new Paris, aligned with omnipresent straight line forms. This geometrical collision of a straight line and a curve is symptomatic of ferocious conflict between the Second Empire and the alternative social model embodied in the Florent’s attitude.
