It includes an Introduction is followed by notes of A Murder of Quality (1962); The Spy Who came in from the Cold (1963); Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy (1974); The Russia House (1989); The Night Manager (1993); The Tailor of Panama (1996), The Constant Gardener (2001);and A Most Wanted Man (2008)
The selection is personal based on the novels and films that I enjoyed and consider among my favorites and also those adaptations that are readily available in streaming services such as Apple TV, BFI, Amazon, Criterion, among others. La idea de encontrar en novelas descripciones de situaciones y las diferentes conductas o características de los humanos se inspira también en los cincuenta tipos de emociones contenidos en la famosa obra, Ética: demostrada según el orden geométrico/4 de Baruch Spinoza, uno de los más importantes e influyentes filósofos. The selection is personal based on the novels and films that I enjoyed and consider among my favorites and also those adaptations that are readily available in streaming services such as Apple TV, BFI, Amazon, Criterion, among others. I avoided unfolding the plot to allow the book readers and film watchers to discover the extraordinary stories by one of the great thriller writer of our time and not spoil the fun.

War and Peace and Anna Karenina are the two greatest works by Tolstoy, the former published in 1869, the latter published in installments from 1873 to 1877. They are regularly compared in terms of the difference in style. For some scholars, the inclusion of essays in a narrative that tends to be fictitious makes it difficult to categorize War and Peace as a novel. Tolstoy wrote an interpretative note entitled ‘A Few Words on War and Peace’ in which he explicitly confirmed that this work “is not a novel, even less is it a poem, and still less a historical chronicle.” This explanation by the author makes Anna Karenina his first novel.
