This letter investigates this tradeoff by developing a power consumption model for the components of the link. The impact of different photonic technologies is studied. A method to minimize the power consumption by optimizing the optical modulation amplitude is discussed.

I will present various systems and subsystem technologies to realize such network.

We also quantify the stability of the scheme experimentally. The results show that the proposed linearization scheme is stable over time and the overall performance is not significantly dependent on the intrinsic characteristics of the optical carrier. The performance is limited

Our results show a IMD suppression of 9 dB using three-tone tests.
