The research seeks to understand the social roles of art exhibitions in Colombia on domestic viol... more The research seeks to understand the social roles of art exhibitions in Colombia on domestic violence issues, focusing on serving as a vehicle for building collective memory for the country. It also explores the art from sociological analysis, noting the experiences of victims from the aesthetic perspective, emphasizing in the pain, testimonies, traces of memory and materiality inherited as narrative elements, but also silence, remembrance, endurance, contemplation and communion. In this way, art is set up as a sort of log file and the memory of the war in Colombia. Research indicates art as the territory where occur the work of memory, mourning, repair and catharsis as a condition of possibility of a just memory.
