    Neste trabalho, empreendemos uma analise da abordagem de ensino de um professor de espanhol como lingua estrangeira, focalizando, por meio de gravacao de audio e notas de observacao de aula, a abordagem orientadora da pratica pedagogica deste professor. Defendemos a analise de abordagem como um meio de levantar subsidios confiaveis para demonstrar a importância de os professores buscarem ferramentas de investigacao e aumento de consciencia sobre sua abordagem, procurando entender o porque ensinam da maneira como o fazem. Para tanto, inicialmente pressupomos a existencia de duas grandes abordagens de ensino de linguas, identificamos os metodos inerentes a cada uma delas, para posteriormente, lancarmos mao desse aporte para analisar a abordagem do professor-participante deste trabalho. Por fim, identificamos categorias de analise de concepcoes de lingua estrangeira, de ensino e de aprendizagem.

    The aim of this master dissertation is to build a proficiency scale of the foreign language teacher’s speech. This resource was designed to reach two basic goals. First, it is to allow graduate professors and undergraduate teachers to reflect about their required knowledge over the teacher’s preliminary training. Second, it is to keep track on the development of this mentioned knowledge in activities carried out by graduate professors or on self-assessment evaluation that was taken by undergraduate teachers. In this research, the teacher’s speech is perceived as a part of the foreign language teachers’ communicative competence and it is investigated using the authors Almeida Filho (1992), Elder (1993; 1994; 2001) and Borges-Almeida (2009). This scale was built from a specific methodology in elaborating scales, presented by North (1996) and Luoma (2004), which associates both intuitive and qualitative methods.
