The main topics of my interest is a reserach of the history of the Holocaust appeared especialy on teritories of inter-war Czechoslovakia which following the 1.Vienna Accord in November, 1938 came under rule of The Kingdom of Hungary. Among the one million inhabitants of the teritory ceased by Hungary they were cca 40 thousand Jews they in 1944 shared their destiny with the Inner-Hungarian Jewry and those who lived on the former Romanian teritory seized from Romania following the 2.Vienna Accord in 1941. Nor the official Slovak Historiography nor the Hungarian one don´t deal with this topict with appropriate attention because the lack of knowledge of both languages Slovak anh Hungarian as well. It would be highly necessary to pay attention to this topic. I´m an autor of two monographs "Holocaust in South Slovakia" published by KALLIGRAM Bratislava, 2006, "Deprived from Law, Property and Life", 604 pp., published first edition in 2016, second edition in 2018 and co-autor of "History of Jews in Nove Zamky", last 10 years I tought on University of Jewish Studies in Budapest as Associated Professor.

Their activities within the resistance are rated among the brightest moments of revolting and facing against the evil. The importance of their actions are on the same level as those of the fighters from Warsaw Ghetto, prisoners of Sonderkommando in crematorium IV. in Auschwitz-Birkenau, or rebels from the camp Sobibór.
The name of Chaviva Reik is well known in historiography as well as in popularizing literature. The first monograph dedicated to her was released in former Czechoslovakia in 1947. There are streets, town squares, youth organizations, kibbutz and ships in Israel named after her. In Slovakia, the park near the SNP Museum in Banská Bystrica was dedicated her a short time ago. Other members of the mission were not honored as much as she was.
The main purpose of this research paper is to focus on the destiny of one of them – Stephen Rafi Reisz. The information presented in this research paper is based on a two year research of archive sources in Slovakia and Israel and on the testimonies of surviving relatives of Stephen Reisz, with whom the author managed to meet in Israel. His daughter Edna Leshem and his grand children Rafi and Raz Leshem visited Slovakia in order to attend the unveiling of the memorial plaque on the building of the Gymnasium in Nove Zamky, where Rafi Reisz graduated in 1933.
