History provides the framework for literary production and the corroboration of historical controversies. Identity is implicated in the controversy of My Name is Okoro. This paper, through the application of new criticism as an analytic framework, examines identity as a thin line between life and death in My Name is Okoro. It further examines how identity is self-definition and survival. Many scholars have focused their literary analysis on the effects of the Nigerian Civil War without paying attention to the role of naming and identification during the war. This study also highlights that in times of crisis, identity protect the individuals who are associated with the side that wills more physical and military power. Identity is factor that affects the survival of individual in the society. This paper concludes that those of minority extraction as well as the Igbo of the Eastern region suffered greatly as a result of their identity in My Name is Okoro.

AIM: To evaluate the impact of using the innovative antiviral drugs in patients with chronic hepatitis C (CHC) on the disease burden in the long term. Materials and methods. A program was developed to increase the availability of innovative antiviral therapy (AVT) in patients with CHC covering the period from 2013 to 2020. To evaluate the impact of the program on the burden of hepatitis C (HC) in the Russian Federation, a Markov model of the disease progression was developed till 2030. Calculations were made in medical and social perspectives/RESULTS: The implementation of the program will allow to decrease the medical costs by RBL 2 billion and budget costs, including disability payments, by RBL 3.8 billion by 2030. Learning a new language is not often as easy as one may think, especially, where there are no work compulsions or anything of serious importance that motivates one or make it a necessity. In Africa, and specifically in Anglophone countries, and among English speakers, learning French is trailed by a reaction one may describe, as “French is not my Language”. What this reaction embodies is a psychological and social manifestation of lack of motivation, confidence, and satisfaction in learning. Thus, the objectives of the research are; to identify the role of the Immediate Study Environment (ISE) in motivating, building confidence and ensuring satisfaction in the learners of the foreign languages and to determine the extent to which the ISE affects the student’s decision to continue or not to continue with the language.
