The study was carried out with 263 university students aged between 18 and 24 years (63% female, 37% male). In the study, in order to measure the students’ depression, rumination and problem solving skill levels, the “Beck Depression Inventory” adapted by Hisli (1989) into Turkish, the “Ruminative Thinking Style Scale” adapted by Karatepe, Yavuz and Türkcan (2013) into Turkish and the “Problem
Solving Inventory” adapted by Taylan (1990) and Şahin, Şahin and Heppner (1993) into Turkish were used in order of administration. As a result of the calculated correlations, a positive significant relationship
was determined between the female and the male university students’ depression levels and their rumination levels and again between their problem solving skills and depression levels. Moreover, as a result of the multiple linear regression analysis, it was determined that the students’ rumination levels and problem solving skills predicted their depression levels significantly. The study results were dis- cussed in the light of the relevant literature and some suggestions were made.
INVESTIGATION OF THE SCHOOL DROPOUT PROBLEM AT LEVEL OF PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN TURKEY, 2018

It was also demonstrated by the studies aimed to improve the education systems that the duration of the students' stay within the existing school system was an important indicator of the quality of education. The international rankings on the prevalence of dropouts for Turkey seem to be bleak. Turkey ranks high in comparison to the countries compared in terms of its high dropout rate. This clearly shows that one of the problems that we have to deal with to improve the quality of the education system is the problem of dropouts. In the present study, the concept of dropout was examined in the light of previous studies. Initially in the study, the concept of dropout was defined, the dropout process and risk, and reasons for dropouts were addressed; and then the prevalence of dropout and its consequences in Turkey were explicated.

At this point, parenting styles appear as a factor that should be examined. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between multidimensional perfectionism and parenting styles. For the study, the Eric, JSTOR, Sage Journal, Scopus, Springer Link, Taylor & Francis Online, Google Scholar, Ulakbim, YÖK (the Council of Higher Education), EBSCO Open Dissertations and ProQuest Dissertation and Thesis databases were used. "Parenting styles" and "perfectionism" were used as search terms in the databases. Seven studies met the selection criteria to be included in the meta-analysis. Random effect model was used in the analysis. As a result of the analysis, a weak and positive relationship was found between perfectionist strivings and parenting styles except permissive parenting styles. A weak and positive directional relationship between perfectionist concerns and authoritarian, protective and permissive parenting styles was also found. Moreover, a weak negative relationship between perfectionist concerns and authoritative parental style was found. There was a positive relationship between order, which is the last dimension of perfectionism, and authoritative and protective parenting styles. A weak negative relationship was found between order and authoritarian parenting style. The findings of this study revealed that all three dimensions of perfectionism are related to four parenting styles.

Research Methods: The study was conducted on 349 university students (69% female, 31% male) between the ages of 17-25 (average age 20.42). In this study, the Melbourne Decision Scale, the Intolerance to Uncertainty Scale, the Cognitive Flexibility Inventory and the Oxford Happiness Scale-Short Form were used to measure self-esteem in decision-making and decision-making styles and intolerance to uncertainty, cognitive flexibility and the level of happiness.

The study was carried out with a total of 217 university students, of whom 94 were males and 123 were females, aged between 19 and 25 years. The data of the study were collected using the Emotional Expression Questionnaire, the Psychological Resilience Scale and the Subjective Well-Being Scale, respectively. The relationship between the variables of the study was analyzed via the methods of Pearson Correlation Coefficient and Structural Equation Modeling, and the mediating role of psychological resilience between emotional expression and subjective well-being was tested. The goodness-of-fit indices obtained from the structural equation modeling indicated that the model generated a good fit. According to the results, there was a significant relationship between "expressing emotions" and "psychological resilience" and between "psychological resilience" and "subjective well-being". It was found that there was no significant relationship between expressing emotions and subjective well-being and that the variable of expressing emotions affected that of subjective well-being by means of the psychological resilience (tool) variable and the model tested was significant.

It is therefore important to understand the variables that influence this attitude. The aim of this study was to reveal the mediation status of love styles in attitudes towards dating violence in gender in emerging adults aged 18-25. The study was conducted on 268 emerging adults (54% female, 46% male) aged 18-25 years (͞ X͞ =20.34). In the research, the "Dating Violence Attitude Scale" and "Love Attitudes Scale-Short Form" were used to measure attitudes towards dating violence and attitudes towards love, respectively. As a result of the mediation analysis, it was determined that the Ludus and Pragma love styles partially mediated the relationship between gender and attitudes towards general violence and physical violence in romantic relationships. The Ludus, Mania, and Pragma love styles were related to the relationship between gender and attitudes towards emotional violence in romantic relationships;. It was determined that the Eros, Pragma and Agape love styles partially mediated the relationship between gender and attitudes towards economic violence in romantic relationships. It was determined that only the Ludus love style mediated the relationship between gender and attitudes towards sexual violence in romantic relationships, while the Ludus, Mania and Pragma love styles partially mediated the relationship between gender and the mean attitudes towards violence in romantic relationships. Looking at the results of the mediation analysis, it was determined that the Ludus, Pragma, and Mania love styles partially mediated the relationship between gender and attitudes towards violence in romantic relationships. It can be said that men with the Ludus love style have a more accepting attitudes towards general, physical, emotional and sexual violence in romantic relationships compared to their female peers with this love style. It can be said that women with the Pragma love style have a more accepting attitudes towards general, physical, emotional and economic violence in romantic relationships compared to their female peers with this love style. It can be said that women with the Mania love style have a more accepting attitudes towards emotional violence in romantic relationships.
