Public health experts have communicated clear and emphatic strategies to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Hygiene rules and social distancing practices have been implemented by entire populations, including 'stay-at-home' orders in many countries. The long-term health and economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic are not yet known.
My co-authors and I respond to the authors' claim that there is no evidence for spinal manipulati... more My co-authors and I respond to the authors' claim that there is no evidence for spinal manipulation for non-chronic low back pain. In this letter to the editor, we found the author's literature review search stopped in 2009 which omitted several high-quality systematic reviews that found that spinal manipulation was beneficial for low back pain. We also critiqued the author's recommendation of opioids which currently goes against the best practice guidelines and the preponderance of the literature.

Recent systematic reviews have suggested that prevalence of strokes in medical practitioners and chiropractic practitioners are similar and share similar associations. My co-authors and I responded to a case study whereby the authors suggested that chiropractic manipulation caused a stroke, but had omitted or neglected to consider all possible co-founders rendering their conclusion suspect.
