The case study involved the holistic care which enables a student to consider how to provide acceptable care for a mother during pregnancy, labour and postpartum or any other condition and work with colleagues to ensure that every mother receives effective care towards reducing maternal and neonatal mortality. However, according to the WHO, Sub Saharan Africa still has the highest maternal mortality ratio. One of the strategies which aimed at addressing maternal mortality ratio was the implementation of FANC.
