Abstract Solid complexes of some tertiary phosphine oxides with neodymium (III) nitrate have been prepared and characterized by analysis, conductivity in nitromethane solutions, IR and visible spectroscopy. The general formula is Nd3(NO3)3L3 L = TPPO, BDPPO, DBPPO, TBPO, TEPO or TMPO (triphenyl-, benzyldiphenyl-, dibenzy 1 phenyl-, tribenzyl-, triethyl- and trimethylphosphine oxide respectively).
