In an effort to realize religious moderation in the family, parents have a central role in teaching their children the values of tolerance, mutual respect and peace. Tolerance, which comes from the Latin word "tolerare", is explained as respecting the behavior of others and opposing discrimination against certain groups. This article is based on desk research that presents a theoretical foundation for understanding the concept of religious moderation. Open discussions about different religions and the practice of tolerance in daily life by parents are considered as effective ways to foster these values.
