Wall paintings exposed to weather conditions in situ were treated as part of another conservation project. Minor metal finds were also treated using both chemical and mechanical means in order to identify the objects.

Debris and earth from the earlier excavations in the neighborhood were removed from further areas of H 10“E” and H 19. As for H 21c, the great hall H 21“N” (10.45 by 7.50 m) was cleared in preparation for preservation work. In the necropolis preparations were made for a partial reconstruction of the entrance portico to tomb T 6 and for completing the interrupted preservation of parts of hypogeum T 1GH. Finally, assistance was given to the local Egyptian site authorities in completing the preservation of parts of another, recently uncovered hypogeum, T 18.2) Specialized conservation work, which took advantage of improved on-site conditions, concerned elements of stone indoor architectural decoration and some surviving mural paintings, as well as a variety of small finds

The archaeological section includes a more detailed discussion of the glass finds.

Architectural studies preceding building conservation work were carried out in House H1, where the Mission has been active over the past few seasons. It was established that the house had an inner peristyle consisting of two tiers corresponding to building floors: pseudo-Corinthian of the Marina type on the ground floor and pseudo-Corinthian or pseudo-Ionic of the Marina type on the upper floor. A similar tiered architectural decoration was noted in the incomplete peristyle (unit 4) of the Southern Baths just off the presumed Main Town Square. Work continued on clearing the chambers of the baths and accomplishing preservation, conservation and subsequently building restoration works. A marble plaque with an inscription, found previously, was subjected to conservation treatment once standard condition monitoring demonstrated progressive deterioration of the state of this object.

The mission also undertook in extra time to inventory the architecture south of the Forum, where an SCA team and the ARCE–EAP project directed by architect Agnieszka Dobrowolska conducted investigations in 2006 and 2007. The inventorying also included the bath complex to the north of the town square.

Work focused foremost on research, conservation and exhibition of monuments in the central town square, especially the remains of a peristyle adjacent from the east, and the southern portico of the square itself. Research and conservation continued also in the area north of the central square, concentrating on the remains of public baths dating from the Hellenistic period and, on the south, on the remnants of Roman baths in use from the 2nd to the 3rd century AD. Maintenance conservation was carried out in private houses, in both baths complexes and in the eastern and southern area of the central square.
