Sociometric tests can discover, describe and evaluate social status and structure, and can measure the acceptance or rejection felt between sport groups. Subjects within a sport group are usually asked to pick members that they like or prefer working with, or choose their leader, or other variables depending on the context. The present study evaluates the connections within a school sports team and identifies affinities, mutual choice or rejection between students. These relationships can reveal school group dynamics and the structure and hierarchy of students in a sport group. After analyzing these factors we can determine the group leader, the marginalized individuals, group cohesion and status of each member in the team. The conclusions we can draw from applying our survey method and sociometric test can help us define group cohesion (whether a group is united or divided), group preferences for the team captain or other social problems in the group we want to investigate. By analyzing affinities we can discover and improve group cohesion and can also stimulate positive relationships that can affect the evolution and results of the team. If we want to be successful in the competitive activities we organize in our school, therefore, we must first get to know the relationships within the group, the problems of adaptation, integration and socialization of the students in a group, as reflected in this study.

However, this competition was reserved for students from the University “Lucian Blaga”, Sibiu. The results showed us that students participated in this kind of activities to compete with others, play volleyball, make friends and socialize.
Nowadays physical education classes at primary school level have as main objectives to develop motor skills. At early age some motor abilities are developed more easily than others, mobility and balance are one of those. Our study focuses on two groups at primary school level that we worked with. At first group (age between 8 and 10, n = 20), the experimental group, we worked on developing balance and mobility with different exercises that focused on those motor abilities, at second group (age between 8 and 10, n=22) we followed the rigid Romanian school program. As research method we used the observation method, experimental method and the statistical method. The results, at our specific mobility and balance tests, showed that using specific programs, the experimental group, developed more balance and mobility skills than the second group that followed only the rigid school program.

Motor activities are an important source of socialization, communication and social integration being an ideal setting in forming young people and their further development. Social learning theory has shown that socialization is done best in sport activities. Physical benefits of sport are well known and very important, but the social part attracts children in practicing a sport. They are happy that they can meet their friends and spend time with them outside school, and this is more important than knowing they are physically active. Social interaction through team sport teaches young people to: associate with their friends, solve and prevent conflicts, communicate and socialize better with their colleagues. Our study started from the presumption that we can improve socialization through sport team activities. The experiment was done with two groups, at the first group experimental group, we worked with team sports like basketball and volleyball in improving the socialization of our students, at the second group we worked with single sport activities like chess, tennis, running. We measured the socialization level using a questionnaire at bought groups. The results showed us big improvement in socialization level at the experimental group and some smaller improvements at the second group.

Group cohesion is becoming more and more important in any activities were performance is the main purpose. In group sports, like in any other performance based activities, high group cohesion is considered to be very helpful, and has led to better performance. The cohesiveness of sports group mostly refers to the strength of bonds between group members, the unity of a group, the feeling of attraction between group members, and the degree to which members concentrate their efforts to achieve group goals. Therefore, from ascertaining that in groups where there are positive relationships of sympathy, friendship and cooperation, the activity is most effective. Thus, we had tried in this study to analyze and develop cohesion in a sport group.
The purpose of this study is to know how group cohesion can influence team performance, how positive attraction relationships can lead to better performance and mostly, how we can reintegrate the marginalized members in the group using sport activities.
Using the observation method, the survey method and the social metric test, we analyzed the cohesion index of a sport group. In addition, we studied the preferential relationships of election and rejection; and we tried to find ways to reintegrate the marginalized subjects in the social group.
Objective. Our study focuse on examining the agility skill on a mini basketball team, 12 players with age between 10 and 12 years old. The tests analyse coordination and speed combined with lateral movement, esential skills in nowadays basketball game.
Methods. In our research we used as methods of research some specific agility test for basketball as: Lane Agility Drill, Half-court zigzag sprint, Agility Drill or Compass, Lane Arrow Closeout, Quadrant Jump Test. We had two tests, initial test in November 2014 and final test in May 2015.
Also as research methods we used: observation method, statistical and mathematical research method.
Results. Significant improvments can be seen from the initial test until final test, our experiment group
Conclusions. Agility is an important skill in nowadays sport performance, coordination and speed; components of agility are very well developed in young age. Developing and testing agility can improve sport performance. After improving agility our team improved results in basketball games, so we can conclude that agility is an important component in teams development.

Objective. The aim of this study was to analyze the relationships in a basketball team (10-12 years old) using the socio-metric survey method and see if improving the communication, socialization level and cohesion of the team can influence the performance of our team.
Methods. Our study focused on a group of young basketball players (12 males, 10-12 years old). We used as research methods the observation method, statistical method and socio-metric survey method. With this three research methods we were able to identify the problems in our group, the relationships between members of the group, the leaders of our team, team cohesion and we were able to discover the isolated members of the group and reintegrate them in the team.
Results. The socio-metric survey method showed us that at the Initial test the cohesion of the team was very low 0.01 with 7 mutual elections and 6 mutual rejection, with a low communication and socialization level, many conflicts between players and the performance of our team was not so good with 10 games, 2 victories and 8 losses. At the Final test after developing the communication and socialization level between members of the group, reintegrate the isolated members and improving the relationships between players, the cohesion of the team has grown till 0,04 with 9 mutual elections 4 mutual rejections. Also the results showed significant improvements, our team registered after 10 games 7 victories and 3 losses.
Conclusions. The socio-metric survey method is a very good way to understand and discover the relationships between players, leaders of the group and rejected members, also group cohesion and hierarchy of all members. Conclusions of our study showed us that improving group relationships, communication and socialization level, group cohesion and reintegrate the isolated members of our group, can help us in building a strong group with better results.

Theory of social learning has shown that socialization is made best in the sports. According to specialists, practicing physical activities or sports influences youth personality and creates positive effects on body and mind.
Using sociological questionnaire method we tried to analyze the importance of motor activities in the process of socialization and social integration of students, the relationships established within the group and the influence of sport in group evolution.
KEY WORDS: adaptation and social integration, motor activities, socialization, group dynamics.
This study examines the importance of motor activities in the process of socialization and integration of school youth, in the following we will try to demonstrate the importance of motor activities at primary level, which is a source of socialization through which the child makes a fundamental integration and social adaptation, reduce anxiety, assimilates a set of attitudes and moral values.
Research methods included literature review, methods of observation; the results demonstrate the importance of motor activities in socializing students at this age level.

Sociometry is a way of measuring relationships between people. Sociometric tests can discover, describe and evaluate social status and structure, and can measure the acceptance or rejection felt between sport groups. Subjects within a sport group are usually asked to pick members that they like or prefer working with, or choose their leader, or other variables depending on the context.
The present study evaluates the connections within a school sports team and identifies affinities, mutual choice or rejection
between students. These relationships can reveal school group dynamics and the structure and hierarchy of students in a sport
group. After analyzing these factors we can determine the group leader, the marginalized individuals, group cohesion and
status of each member in the team.
