Day two neonate delivered by emergency caesarean section due to antenatal scan showing suspected jejunal atresia or midgut volvulus. On exploration, bigonal torsion with midgut volvulus and gangrenous small bowel with meconium cystic peritonitis was found. Jejunoileal anastomosis was done with postoperative adhesive intestinal obstruction. Child is doing well on 2 months follow up.

Sometimes they may present with complications like hemorrhage, infection, perforation, volvulus, intussusception and rarely neoplastic changes in the gastric duplication cyst. We present one and half year old male child who presented with recurrent history of respiratory distress &haemoptysis .Child was diagnosed as case of rt sided empyema and undergone thoracotomy for same.1 month later child presented with respiratory distress and haemoptysis Clinical presentation resemble like empyema. Haematological workup were normal. CT imaging solved diagnostic dilemma which revealed secondary infected forgut duplication cyst with possible rupture into right pleural cavity. On exploration an infected and perforated gastric duplication cyst was found. Surgical excision of most part of cyst wall with mucosal stripping of the rest was performed. Histopathology confirmed the diagnosis of gastric duplication cyst with ec...

Injection bleomycin was administered on Day 20 of life. There was complete resolution of cystic hygroma with no local or systemic complications in six months follow-up.

We are reporting a 4 month child with ventral penile swelling with no obstructive uropathy. MCU shows large diverticulum with no valves or VUR. Cystoscopy was normal. Open diverticulectomy with urethroplasty was done with immediate relief of symptoms & symptom free on 6 month follow up. Another case was day 20 neonate with ventral penile swelling and dribbling micturition with back pressure changes on USG and MCU. Cystoscopy was normal. Open diverticulectomy with urethroplasty benefited child with symptom free 2 month follow up.

Lally 2004). It is associated with significant mortality and morbidity (Abdullah et al., 2009). Survival data for CDH are conflicting; a few centers reported 82% to 93% survival rate (Javid et al., 2004; Grushka et al.2009; Mettauer et al., 2009) while others had significantly less figures (54%-56%) (Colvin et al., 2005; Levison et al., 2006). This divergence in survival data has been attributed to case selection bias at single tertiary care institutions because as many as 35% of live-born infants with CDH do not survive to transport resulting in a “hidden mortality” for this condition (Harrison et al., 1978; Colvin et al.; 2005, V.K. Mah et al., 2009). Hidden mortality is referred to patients who die before surgery, either during gestation or shortly after birth and thus are not reported by individual institutions (Harrison...

This leads to early detection of postnatal uretero-pelvic junction obstruction which may require surgical intervention. But, there is no clear consensus in the benefits of operating these patients in the neonatal age.MethodsAim—To study the functional outcome after pyeloplasty in neonates with antenatally diagnosed unilateral uretero-pelvic junction obstruction (UPJO). Records of all neonates (N = 48) who presented between 2016 and 2018 with prenatal diagnosis of unilateral UPJO and underwent a Anderson-Hyne’s Pyeloplasty were retrospectively analyzed. Indications for surgery were SFU grade 3 or 4, a split renal function (SRF) < 40% on a diuretic renal scan and antero-posterior renal pelvic diameter (APD) > 2.5 cm with parenchymal thinning. Parenchymal thickness (PT) and APD measured by ultrasonography, and SRF measured by 99 m Tc-EC renal scan were compared before and after surgery.R...

Patient has minimal respiratory distress in each admission with low grade fever in first two admissions. Intercostal drain was put in first two episodes and VATS with thoracoscopic lung biopsy was done in third episode from left upper lobe with no further episodes of pneumothorax.
