Oceans are essential ecosystem of Earth's ecology since it covers more than 70 percent of the planet's surface and offers important nutrients for human survival. The oceans or the high seas outside of any country's jurisdictional waters, is home to rich biodiversity and valuable resources. The long-term survival of marine life and ecosystems is in serious jeopardy due to overfishing, pollution, climate change, and other human activities. The long-term viability of marine life and the preservation of maritime resources is a matter to be investigated. By evaluating relevant literature and collecting data from numerous sources, this study investigates the current condition of high seas conservation, the challenges of conserving high seas biodiversity, and the effectiveness of existing conservation initiatives. The research stresses the importance of better governance, stricter enforcement of conservation measures, and the creation of marine protected areas as part of a comprehensive and integrated plan for protecting the oceans. Insights into the future of conservation on the oceans beyond national jurisdiction and recommendations for improving current efforts are provided in this study. The establishment of a legally obligatory instrument for the protection and equitable utilisation of natural resources in regions outside national borders having the conservation programs, and enhanced scientific understanding and data exchange are the need of the present day globalized world. There is a need for addressing the issues influencing the protection of the high seas and supporting the maintainable governance of ocean flora and fauna, conserving the long-term health and vitality of the ocean and its biodiversity and safeguarding the welfare of future generations.

This research examines how far the prose works of Harishankar Parsai are a scathing attack on aspects of Post-Independent India. This research draws upon mostly primary sources, including satires of Parsai and a few other satirists who targeted politics. To do this, it will be necessary first to examine the political conditions in democratic India and what made Parsai target politics with his satires. I will also examine Parsai's thoughts on satire which he penned in his essay, Vyangya Kyon? Kaise? Kis Liye? Secondly, to scrutinize more about the political conditions, I will chiefly look at some of his works like A Shivering Republic (Thithurta Hua Gantantra), Inspector Matadeen on the Moon (Inspector Matadeen Chaand Par), Sheep and wolves (Bhede Aur Bhediye), Handicapped Politics (Viklaang Rajneeti), Ek Gaubhakt se bhaint, Sudama's Rice (Sudamakechawal), Contesting an election in Bihar (Hum Bihar mein chunaav ladd rahe hain), and Bholaram's Spirit (Bholaram ka Jeev). "The literature of Harishankar Parsai is the social and political reality of post-independent India. 1 Parsai had a major role to play in making satire a serious work of writing, and from the wider world of composition, by which he elaborated a distinctive and unique language style within the prevailing genres, just as a great writer did his own special work in genres." (Shrotriya) As per my knowledge, till now, the research work done on the literature of Harishankar Parsai and critical books that have been published include are Dr.

BACKGROUND: Hamstring injury is most common in sports especially in football players, due to over force and acting of muscle in both open and closed kinematics. Based on previous studies Nordic hamstring strength exercises prevent hamstring injuries. OBJECTIVE: This study aims to find whether the leg-body ratio will have any impact on the Nordic hamstring strength test or not. STUDY DESIGN: Correlational study design. SUBJECT: 50 subjects were selected football players. They received training 5 times and one official match per week and are semi-professional football players. PROCEDURE: A video-based Nordic hamstring strength test is performed on participants to analyze the Nordic break point angle (Eccentric mode). In Isometric mode, the tester stabilized the player on plantarflexed ankles at 20º. The video-based hamstring strength test is reliable and valid to measure eccentric hamstring strength among football players and it is less time-consuming it could be carried out in clinics or training grounds. OUTCOME MEASURES: Dartfish analysis software. RESULTS: The result of this study shows that leg body ratio and both isometric and eccentric Nordic hamstring strength tests as a positive correlation. CONCLUSION: There is a positive correlation between the Leg body ratio in isometric and eccentric Nordic hamstring strength tests.

Osteoporosis and periodontitis affect a large number of men and women worldwide with increase in incidence with advancing age. Periodontitis has long been defined as an infection mediated destruction of the alveolar bone and soft tissue attachment of the tooth, responsible for tooth loss among adult populations. Several studies support an association of osteoporosis with the onset and progression of periodontal disease in humans. Systemic loss of bone density in osteoporosis including that of the oral cavity may provide a host system that is increasingly susceptible to infectious destruction of periodontal tissue. Understanding the association between these common diseases and the mechanisms underlying these associations will aid health professionals to provide improved means to prevent, diagnose and treat these very common diseases.

This study examined the relationship between the disposition and character of successive Nigerian leadership and the emergence of political crises from 1999 to 2019. The Nigerian state has been faced with several crises since her formation but there is no gainsaying the point that major crises in Nigeria, especially since 1999, in most instances have their roots in the quest for political dominance and unsavory styles of elite leadership. This work made use of quantitative data sourced and collated from various secondary sources. To explain the variables (leadership styles and their crises generation or diffusion tendencies),descriptive research design was adopted. The qualitative content analysis method was adopted. Study revealed that Nigerian leadership exhibits corrupt tendencies; there is wanton absence of exemplary leadership and lack of patriotism on the part of the ruling class; and all of these negative attributes fuel sociopolitical stagnation, discontent and ultimately leads to political crises. It was also found that the rampantcases of disregard for the rule of law by leadership promote crises in the polity. The study recommended reorientation of leadership on ethical values that would encourage patriotism, building of strong institutions rather than strong men, true federalism by devolving the enormous powers of the central government to the federating states and stipulation and enforcement of stricter penalties against proven cases of corruption by leadership.

Nigeria's forest reserves are severely impacted by human activity, which alters their natural state and has a negative effect on the ecology and biodiversity. The continuing indiscriminate felling of trees for construction, fuelwood, agricultural use, grazing, and hunting without a replacement has degraded the forest ecology and caused the extinction of rare and irreplaceable trees, fauna, and biodiversity. This study presents an in-depth analysis of land-use change and forest carbon stock changes in forest reserves in Nigeria. By utilising remote sensing, GIS techniques, and field surveys, we quantify the impacts of land-use changes on forest carbon stocks and provide recommendations for sustainable forest management practices. Our findings indicate that between 1990 and 2020, forest cover in Nigerian forest reserves decreased by 25%, while agricultural lands and urban areas increased by 20% and 15%, respectively. As a result, forest carbon stocks decreased by approximately 10% during this period. The Land Change Modeler (LCM) projections suggest a continued decline in forest cover under the business-as-usual scenario, with a potential loss of an additional 15% by 2050. By offering valuable insights for policymakers, conservationists, and other stakeholders, this study emphasises the need for immediate action to preserve Nigeria's forest reserves and their vital ecosystem services.

Nigeria's forests are under severe human interference, distorting their natural state and negatively impacting the biodiversity composition and the environment. The continued indiscriminate cutting down of trees without replacement for constructions, fuelwood, agricultural purpose, grazing and hunting has led to the degradation of the forest ecosystem, extinction of valuable trees, wildlife and loss of biodiversity. Forested land significantly mitigates global warming by carbon stocking and sequestrating elevated atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) globally. Forested land is critical in mitigating global warming by stocking carbon and sequestering elevated atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) globally. This study uses data and statistical figures to evaluate deforestation's effects on carbon stocking (CS) across Nigeria's 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The results reveal variations in tree cover loss (TCL-kg-ha) and carbon stocks across the states, with a 35% average decrease in tree cover and a 30% reduction in carbon stocks between 2010 and 2022. These findings highlight the need for targeted interventions to enhance carbon sequestration and improve climate change mitigation strategies.

Detection of an earth's subsurface velocity profile is very essential for geotechnical site investigation. Basically, multimode Love wave dispersion curves (DCs) can be used for detecting the subsurface velocity structure. Here, the ForLoveDCs software is introduced to calculate the forward modeling of multimode Love wave dispersion curves by employing a set of MATLAB function. In general, ForLoveDCs has running well and successfully computing the multimode Love Wave DCs. The computation procedure tested on the synthetic model representing the regularly and irregularly shear wave velocity (SWV) structure profiles. Manifestly, all computation results show the reasonable and reliability of DCs.

The determination of soil moisture (SM) that directly affects agriculture productivity and brings uncertainty in climate change is crucial in Nepal because it's being an agricultural country. The main purpose of this study is to estimate the soil moisture index (SMI) of Nepal from 2012 to 2020 and predict the SMI for 2021. The relationship between Normalize difference vegetation index (NDVI) and land surface temperature (LST) from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) satellite product was used for estimating the SMI for four seasons of the year 2012 to 2020 based on the universal triangle method. Rainfall data product from Climate Hazards Group InfraRed Precipitation with Station data (CHIRPS) was used for analyzing its relation with SMI. It depicts a positive relationship with SMI. The land cover map of the MODIS data product was used with SMI and analyzed at a period of four years as the land cover of the whole of Nepal doesn't drastically change over a year which is the study area. The result shows more SMI in the lower belt of Nepal i.e Terai region where vegetation is more than in other regions. This indicates a positive correlation between vegetation with SMI. SMI for the spring season of 2020 is predicted by feeding SMI values from the year 2012-2019 to the eps-regression model as a training sample and the year 2020 as a testing sample. Statistical evaluation such as RMSE, MSE, MAE, and R-squared test was conducted in actual and predicted SMI values of the year 2020. SMI is predicted for the spring season of the year 2021 using the tested and validated model. This paper contributes to a better knowledge of SM dynamics around Nepal, which can aid in agriculture's improvement and the SM assessment/prediction and can be used to detect early indicators of drought, for decision-making weather forecasting, or any national research objective.

Freezing/solidification process involves continuous transfer of heat in the material medium to change from liquid to solid. The problems that describe these processes satisfy certain initialand boundary conditions along with the Stefan condition at the interface. These problems referred as Stefan problems or Moving boundary problems or Phase change problemsin which there exists continuously changing moving fronts. At any time, tracking the position of themoving fronts and the temperature plays an important role to solve these non-linear problems. Phase change problems has applications in the field of energy conservation techniques, Material Science, industrial units and many more.In this paper, solidification of water is studied to understand the mechanics of heat transfer problems. A convective upper boundary condition is considered as sinusoidal function of time, to study the changes in the temperature fields, which in general treated as constant. Understanding the effect of heat transfer coefficient on the movement of moving fronts and the temperature distributionhelp to design ice storage units in energy conservations technologies.

Background: Soluble anti-antigen antibodies (Anti-ENA) represent a specificity of anti-nuclear auto-antibodies (ANAs) which are directed against nuclear particles. The aim of this study is to retrospectively analyse the positive serum for Anti-ENA antibodies and the pathologies associated with them. Materials and methods: During a 2 years period, 821 serum samples, addressed for the ANAs test, were studied in the Immunology department. The indirect immunofluorescence method (IFI) was used to detect the ANAs in the serums. In case of a positive result, an identification of the antigenic targets is performed by the Immunodot technique. Results: Eighty-eight positive serum for anti-ENA antibodies were found. The average age in our series was 41 ±15.5 years. There were 80 women and 8 men with a sex ratio F/M of 10. The results show a strong association of the anti-ENA antibodies positivity with Lupus and Gougerot-Sjögren syndrome (GSS). Conclusion: Anti-ENA antibodies are immunological markers for Lupus and GSS.

Takayasu arteritis is an idiopathic and chronic inflammatory disease characterized by the formation of stenosis or abnormal aneurysms in large vessels, resulting in life-threatening ischemia in major organs. It is most commonly seen in women, who are between the ages of 40 _ 60year old. The etiology of this disease has not been defined. Pregnancy in women with Takayasu's arteritis does not affect the inflammatory evolution of the disease but increases the risk of exacerbation of pre-existing chronic hypertension. Thus such parturients need special attention during peripartum period owing to the likelihood of complications such as hypertension, multiple organ dysfunction and stenosis leading to decreased regional blood flow, intra uterine growth retardation (IUGR) and low birth weight. Some reports have emphasized problems in the anesthetic management of a patient with Takayasu arteritis. However, limited information is available. Ideal anaesthetic management of these pregnant mothers with Takayasu's arteritis still poses a stringent challenge to anaesthesiologist. Here we present a case report of anaesthetic management of a parturient with Takayasu's arteritis.

BACKGROUND: Peripheral neuropathy is a common neurological disorder with variable presentation and etiologies. The severity of peripheral neuropathy can be determined using revised NDS. It measures specific neurological deficits affecting the peripheral nervous system as seen in a polyneuropathy. It can be used for initial assessment and to monitor the patient over time to measure disease status. Nerve conduction studies, as a part of peripheral neurophysiological examination, are an extension of clinical history and examination. It is an excellent measure of the function of the peripheral nervous system and provide a reliable index of measurement in the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of the patient. They are less invasive and are sensitive to both myelin sheath and axonal changes. OBJECTIVES: To study the clinical parameters in suspected cases of peripheral neuropathy using NDS and its correlation with nerve conduction study. METHODS: 100 patients of both genders above the age of 18 years presenting with clinical features suggestive of peripheral neuropathy, known cases and newly diagnosed, were included as a part of the study to correlate clinical signs (using revised NDS) with nerve conduction study, to assess the severity of peripheral neuropathy. RESULTS: Out of 100 subjects, 64 with NDS of 6-10 (moderate to severe) were having mixed sensory motor involvement on NCS, with both axonal and demyelinating lesions. Most of the patients with NDS 0-5 (mild) had sensory involvement with demyelinating injury on NCS. CONCLUSION: Detailed clinical examination by using revised NDS strongly correlates with NCS parameters. As the NDS increases (6-10), patients had mixed sensory motor involvement on NCS with axonal and demyelinating changes. Mild NDS shows only sensory and demyelinating changes on NCS. Hence, clinical examination by using revised NDS will guide the clinician to assess the bedside severity of peripheral neuropathy and the extent of involvement of peripheral nerves. For further confirmation, submitting the patient for NCS is a safe and non-invasive method to identify specific pathological lesions of peripheral nerves.

Anterior crossbite is a dental misalignment where the upper front teeth are positioned behind the lower front teeth. This type of malocclusion is commonly observed in children during the development of their teeth. The single-tooth anterior dental crossbite is the most encountered type of malocclusion during the mixed dentition period. If left untreated, anterior crossbite can lead to various complications such as recession of the gums, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction, and worsening of mandibular displacement. Therefore, it is important to diagnose and treat anterior crossbite in children at an early stage to avoid potential problems in the future. Effective treatment of anterior crossbite depends on correct indication and motivation. Various treatment modalities are available for correcting anterior crossbite in children, and the decision on which approach to use depends on the cause of the crossbite, treatment goals, and the child's behaviour. This paper describes four case studies where different treatment modalities were used to successfully correct anterior crossbite in children with mixed dentition. These cases highlight the importance of early diagnosis and appropriate treatment for anterior crossbite to prevent complications and ensure optimal outcomes.

The paper analyses the application of myths for the construction of gender identity in the light of the novel Legends of Khasak by O.V.Vijayan. It also tries to investigate the possible reasons behind the creation of a particular myth in a culture. Certain meanings of knowledge are put across in the society using myths. The concept of Roland Barthes, known as 'Cultural Code' is used to analyse this property of myth. Later in the paper the concept of 'Difference' in semiotics is applied in the case of myths to analyse, how myths are being appropriated in each period to convey specific ideologies. Barthes compares myth to a 'sign' and attributes it the property of 'Second-Order Signification'. The study also tries to look upon the political intentions behind the perpetuation of each myth and emphasis the necessity of analysing myths to understand the discriminatory ideologies. Analysis of myths also helps in deconstructing what is normalized as truth in history.

Road traffic accident in Nigeria is known to be a major cause of untimely death. The ultimate goal of this research is to apply Beta Binomial model and Negative Binomial model in tracking the pattern of the roads traffic accident data and this was done based on the secondary data collected from Federal Road Safety Corps, on the fatal, serious and minor road traffic accidents for eight consecutive years. Akaike information criteria (AIC) and Bayesian information criteria (BIC) were used to show the efficiency of Negative Binomial model over Beta Binomial. From the result of the analysis, Negative binomial model performed better in its efficiency and consistent result shown by AIC for the fatal, serious and minor road traffic accidents, it was clear that the Negative Binomial model was the best fit for the data. It was observed from the result that in general the number of fatality in road traffic accidents gradually increases with time as the years go by, the number of people killed by road accidents increases. The kind of vehicle involved in an accident and over speed was found to be associated with the highest factor that influences the rate of road traffic accidents.

Our main motivation for this project is to make content creation and consumption easier for people. The scope of the project applies to people with less attention span, visual discomforts, educationally underprivileged people, etc. This also greatly helps teaching professionals explain concepts better to kids as children always find visual content more engaging and easier to learn. There are several reasons why a software that converts text or any ideas to video may be useful in today's world. One of the main reasons is the increasing popularity of video content on social media platforms and the internet in general. Video content is more engaging and attention-grabbing than text, making it more likely to be shared and viewed by a larger audience. Additionally, a software that can convert text to video can be useful for creating marketing and promotional materials, educational content, and instructional videos. Furthermore, after the pandemic, the way we interact and consume information has shifted, more and more people prefer to consume information through videos, so a software that can convert text to video can be of great help in this situation. Currently, there are freelancers who would make a video for you based on your ideas or information, but the problem with this is that it is very expensive and time consuming. This is why our software is a much more economically feasible solution. The target demographic of our software is anybody that wants to create visual content that suits their work. It could range from educationally disadvantaged content creators to children with less attention span.

In literature, creators and authors created millions of unimaginable characters in their stories and movies. Almost, humans, animals, insects, mountains, soil, plants, tress, pre historic animas and even aliens incarnated as fictional characters. When animals talk like humans those works are known as fables like C. S. Lewis's The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe (1950). Some fictions are constructed with real life common characters along with tress, animals and insects as they exist in reality. The concept of loyalty and love have been shown in many novels and movies through the pet animals. The value of nature and natural resources has been shown in many novel and disaster movies. In Tamil novel category, very few writers utilized their native village, the people of those villages and the other silent characters such as the common pond, banyan trees, minor gods, distant mountains, and their fertile lands. Writer Sundara Ramaswamy's first work Oru Puliyamarathin Kathai (1966) which was translated into English by few authors such as Black Wentworth and published. They have been published under various titles Tamarind History and The Tamarind Tree. This story projects the ideology of Anthropocene a little bit but mostly talks about the essence of human behavior over ego, domination, selfishness, compassion, pity and buried memories. So this paper focuses on how the dumb tree becomes the potential symbol of all the events and activities which happens around it in the village. Through the presence of this silent witness, author Sundara Ramaswamy narrates the story to the readers. Readers could distinguish the good hearted and stone hearted characters through the way how the common people handle the tree. Thus this tree exists as a silent witness of this novel to reveal the never ending human conflicts. In 1960s, this way of narration was new to the Tamil literature world. This story starts through the flash back narration of Damodara Asan about the events happened in British period and later the story continues with Ali and Thammu.

Cheap air pollution in highly distributed networks, wireless sensors are more prevalent and offer superior spatial resolution for monitoring ambient air quality. For applications in smart cities in comparison to unsupervised learning and reinforcement learning supervised learning algorithms have been utilized more frequently. Utilizing machine learning algorithms and WSN cloud computing nodes, smart city applications can be used as an optimization tool. Agriculture-related wireless sensor network (WSN) applications are covered in the most recent academic literature. The main conclusions from the extensive analysis and clustering based on term co-occurrence indicate that WSN is a crucial tool for precision farming. To maintain track of enemy missile and aircraft attacks, it is essential to construct a battlefield surveillance system that consists of multiple sensors and mobile equipment. Utilizing the capabilities of current cloud computing platforms, WSN management runs an algorithm for reinforcement learning that bases judgements on evolution of the surrounding environment. completely distributed fault detection with a wireless sensor network. Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) enable both the environment and people to contribute stimuli.

The outbreak of the 1998 crisis wave dragged the economy into a state of collapse, by Therefore, this study tries to determine the determinants of the money demand. This study uses a broad interpretation of money (M2), using national income, inflation, domestic deposit interest rates and the crisis monetary as the explanatory variables and analyzed with semi log model approach. The data used in this study are time series from the period 1990: Q1 to 2021 period: Q4. This study is expected to provide an overview for policy makers to maintain the balance of the monetary sector. This research will provide a projection of the variables that influence the demand for money. This study is very interesting because it uses monetary instruments in its analysis, considering monetary problems is a fundamental problem which, if neglected, will disrupt the economy and a regime. This study has limitations because it uses limited time series data due to data availability, so the dynamics of observation choice be limited. This research is a reference for authorities in stimulating and implementing policies to maintain the stability of the Indonesian economy to withstand shocks. This study is the first to use the 2021 time series to estimate pattern of money demand and using a dummy variable as the independent variable.

Private car owners in Nigeria are estimated to be about 4.8 million according to Nigeria Bureau of Statistics. Car owners amongst the academic and non-academic staff run into thousands and because these cars are bought secondhand, or even third. These cars are prone to frequent breakdowns which make car owners to visit auto-repair shops frequently. No thanks to bad roads in Nigeria. Experiences of these car owners in term of quality of customer' services in the auto repair industry appear not to be palatable resulting in poor perceptions of quality of customer service in the industry. This research investigated customers' service perceptions in the auto-repair sector in Nigeria. It was a survey of private car owners working in tertiary institutions in Edo State, South-South Nigeria. Specifically, it surveyed owners of Honda, Mercedis-Benze, and Toyota brand of cars. Four research objectives and correspondingly four research questions were raised. There were also three hypotheses. Descriptive survey was adopted in the study. Consequently, research population was identified using the snowball method and purposive sampling technique was used to select 250 car owners for the study. Questionnaire which collected both quantitative and qualitative data was designed, vetted, and validate. The instrument was reliable at approximately 87% based on Cronbach Alpha. Research assistants were employed to distribute and retrieve questionnaires. The data collected was analysed using descriptive statistics such as bar chart, pie charts, cross tabulation, simple percentage. Furthermore, one-sample test and ANOVA were used to test the hypotheses. Findings show amongst others that majority of the study respondents bought their cars second han; Toyota cars are popular amongst participants. Also, although rarely done, mechanical faults are the common faults repaired by the car owners and their service perceptions of auto mechanic in the country is moderatethough a little above average. It therefore recommended that auto mechanics should up their game in customers' services and this topic should be in the curriculum of polytechnics and technical schools.
