Virtual reconstructions are based on accurate 3D surveys of archeological evidence, from the air or the ground, using Range Base Modelling and Image Base Modelling techniques; this multidisciplinary approach and strict connection with Hi-Tech make ICT a strong resource for monitoring, restoration and management of archaeological heritage and an effective tool also for the students to fi nd a job. In this report are described some recent ICT applications in the archeological fi eld: the Domus Aurea, the Ara Pacis, the Necropoli of Vatican in Rome, the city of Matera.
