Computer simulations were used to compare the performance of two reduced-state soft-input soft-output techniques. In the first technique, delayed decision feedback sequence detection is used both in the

In such a scheme, the complexity of the optimal soft-input soft-output (SISO) equalizer, which implements the BCJR a posteriori probability computation algorithm, is one of the major concerns. We extend the reduced state sequence detection (RSSD) algorithm to a BCJR-SISO equalizer

In this paper, we review the fundamentals of context awareness and the recent advances in the main radio techniques that increase the context awareness and smartness, posing challenges and renewed opportunities to added-value applications in the context of the next generation of wireless networks.
