In this paper, we explore two modeling approaches to understanding the dynamics of infectious diseases in the population: equation-based modeling (EBM) and agent-based modeling (ABM). To achieve this, a comparative study of these approaches was conducted and we highlighted their advantages and disadvantages. Two case studies on the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic were carried out using both approaches. The results obtained show that differential equation-based models are faster but still simplistic, while agent-based models require more machine capabilities but are more realistic and very close to biology. Based on these outputs, it seems that the coupling of both approaches could be an interesting compromise.

The transportation and the assignment problems have both been frequently investigated in the field of operations research. For a couple of decades, it has been proven that no greedy algorithm can yield an optimal solution to these problems since their respective underlying structures are not matroids. It is shown in this paper that, even though seeking a greedy algorithm to solve one of the aforesaid problems is fanciful, a heuristic method capable of providing good approximations to the optimal solution can be found. The so-called “hybrid greedy algorithm” is a hybridization of the Balas-Hammer and the Hungarian methods. It can be used to solve both the transportation and the assignment problems. It often provides an optimal solution to small assignment problems and it outperforms the Balas-Hammer (Vogel’s approximation method) and other heuristic methods for solving the transportation problem.JEL Classification: C02 , C61 , C63 MSC Classification: 00A72 , 03D15 , 68Q25 , 68U20 , 6...

DRC geopolitical situation was conceived by the colonizer in terms of his own interests based on the facility of the exporting means of our wealth towards the metropolis. During the second republic, the building of some airports had as unique criterion of selection, the interests of president. That situation is far from the economic, social and environmental preoccupations of our populations. The objective is to go from the situation existing in DRC and try an extension of the area in order to bring closer the capital of DRC to the contry. For this research there exist two combinatorial optimization problems wich are: localization problem and he one of cover. For better apprehending the reality we have used the multicriteria paradigm. For the case, two criteria related to the economic and social aspects have oriented the process help to the decision of extension.

The official results analysis of the Congolese presidential elections in 2011 aims at studying behavior displayed by voters towards the selected mode of poll. This reveals that most of them carry out a strategic vote because feeling, in an intuitive way, weaknesses of a single member voting system. This paper characterizes congolese voters’ behavior by province and reveals, in addition, that there would be a mechanism making it possible to pass from a preferences profile to another which would facilitate inductions. New concepts were brought there, in particular the preferences transformation function (PTF) and the Pseudo-Condorcet Winner of (PCW).

This article deals with algorithmic complexity used in the determination of a Fibonacci’s sequence term. While exposing three correct algorithms, we have, in the light of complexity study of each one of them, released the one that is optimal. Numbers of Fibonacci’s sequence being for the majority very large, we preferred the using of computer to determine them. Thus, our readers will find in this literature as well the algorithms as their correspondents PASCAL programs.
