    Internet and computer technologies have greatly increased the diversity of many products available in the market. In recent years, these technologies have revolutionized our life trends in every way possible. The electronic book is one of these technologies that have affected the way people exchange information, read, and write. This paper discusses the advantages of electronic books over printed books such as availability, low cost, and authenticity. It also discusses how the emergence of e-books has threatened and affected the printed-book industry. It also proves that electronic books can be a suitable alternative or replacement for printed books especially in educational institutions. This paper analyzes the process of creating a book in the electronic format as well as in the printed format. In addition, the paper shows several examples of gigantic organizations moving from paper-based publishing to electronic-based publishing.

    [Context] Coping with rapid requirements change is crucial for staying competitive in the software business. Frequently changing customer needs and fierce competition are typical drivers of rapid requirements evolution resulting in requirements obsolescence even before project completion. [Objective] Although the obsolete requirements phenomenon and the implications of not addressing them are known, there is a lack of empirical research dedicated to understanding the nature of obsolete software requirements and their role in requirements management. [Method] In this paper, we report results from an empirical investigation with 219 respondents aimed at investigating the phenomenon of obsolete software requirements.
